Hey OBAMA and CLINTON SUPPORTERS: Quit the g'damn immature pissing matches already!
Edited on Sat Oct-06-07 11:38 AM by wndycty
You guys might not realize this but at some point we are going to have to come together and back Barack or Hillary or John or Joe or Bill or Dennis or Chris or even Mike. The key words here are "come together."

This latest crap of going after the campaign advisers is absolute nonsense. ANY POLITICAL OPERATIVE worth his or her salt has enemies and most likely has some things in his or her history that will piss you off.

For the pros this is both a business and game, and the fact that some DUers are wasting their time dredging up shit on operatives is just lame. There is so much strategy, pragmatism, etc. involved it will make your head spin, unfortunately some DUers don't get that.

Unfortunately politics is a lot like watching sausage being made, it can be very disgusting.

Whether its debating operatives, Obama's decision not to wear an American flag pin or Hillary's friends and contributions from Murdoch, enough already!

I'm all for a vigorous debate on who the better candidate is, but what we are seeing on the DU is not a vigorous debate but a petty immature pissing match on shit that is not all that important.

1. Good post. We don't need smear campaigns to show that Obama is the best candidate.

15. So you want to play the "truth" game? Hillary is married to a man who lied to a grand jury,
cheated on her, was impeached (but not convicted) and lost his law license. Did I lie about anything? Did I make anything up? Its the truth isn't it?

I love Bill and Hill and I'm glad no one is making a big deal out of this "truth." But according to your thinking maybe they should.

Bill since their lies tend to be material to the discussion - and his was ruled by the judge (by implication of a simple fine for misleading the court) as not material to the case.

Try again with something more believable and substantive...even something NEW.. we haven't heard before!

I don't think what Bill did is relevant but it does show your hypocrisy if this truth is dismissed as a "ken starr talking point" but slams on Obama are the truth. LOL

10. I don't see the need for your aggressive tone.
I simply follow Obama's example; instead of focusing on negative attacks on the other candidates, I focus on what makes my candidate special, and I think every true Obama supporter should do that as well.

14. Katz - he's losing
She is ripping him up on issues where he has the better plan, like health care.

You can't be #1 unless you take out #1.

You're the best help Hillary has on this board because you shut down more criticism of Hillary than the Hillary people do.

Wow... I never thought someone would say such thing based on the hours I've spent here promoting Obama and defending him, apart of giving away money I don't have to his campaign constantly and talking about Obama to anyone who is willing to listen at work and with friends.

Please, criticize me in any way you want, but please don't question my commitment to Obama's cause. Please don't.

25. I didn't question your commitment
I pointed out the consequences of your approach is all. She has an ad criticizing his health care plan. Now that's audacity. He is letting her get away with forcing people to buy something they can't afford, and calling it universal health care. That's what not criticizing your opponent gets you. It doesn't work. But you keep going with your strategy, I'm not going to get in your way.

24. So, hopefully, you will VOTE for him.
Because he's your choice. That's what the primary is for. But the general election is different. The general election is the party choice. The majority vote choice. If the majority of Democrats chooses Obama, I will vote for him in the general election. Because I believe in democracy.

I also believe that the primary slate we are running has excellent, ambitious, intelligent, capable people. And the Republicans have already given up because they are running shit.

I have another belief, that whoever gets stuck with the post-Bush presidency is going to be destroyed by it. So I salute all those optimists willing to venture into Hell for their egos and their country. It's like volunteering to jump into a woodchipper with the expectation of emerging whole.

Obama's still green to me, though. Proposing wonderful things is fine and dandy. Getting them done? Not quite so easy.

Just let them rip you to shreds. Brilliant strategy. Working so well for Obama so far. :eyes:

I think it's hysterical that Obama let Hillary get away with her shitty health plan - and now she is going after him with the bullshit lie that hers is universal. Yeah, that was brilliant of his campaign not to attack her.

23. LOL! As if Obama's refusal to wear a stupid fucking pin (which makes me
respect him all the more) is in any way COMPARABLE to one of Hillary's biggest advisors being a complete shiftless scumbag who represented some of the WORST of humanity. Gee, what sort of people will she surround herself with in the WH? Oh, all sorts of savory characters, I'll bet. No wonder she's trying to keep Clark on her side, and cozying up to Jim Webb--gotta hope that some of their integrity washes the taint off of her.

38. Look folks I have been nice for the last several
months with all this spewing of hate towards Mrs Clinton, or Senator Clinton but I have never seen as much haterizing as I have against one person in this forum....Damn and we call ourselves liberal....What is that? To be so liberal that you can show some damn respect to one of our candidates....I do not see and I am sure there are some that post hate towards obama and edwards but for me and many, many Clinton supporters we try to post without the hate.....

Let me just say that Obama is like a comet. He started out with a big glow and he covered the sky with illumination but just like any comet began to burn out and that is what is happening. Obama's flame is burning out....

Ben David
