Poll question: Which 2nd tier candidate has the best chance to pull off the upset?
I think Biden. He is the most qualified candidate in the race right now; I'm warming up to him.

22. No, Hillary is the 1st tier. Edwards and Obama both comprise the 2ns tier. The 3rd tier is Biden,
Richardson, and Kucinich, but it doesn't much matter because only the 2nd tier (Edwards and Obama) stand any realistic chanced of upsetting Hillary.

3. Kerry was not in the lead running up to the primaries
I wish we had a comparison. He was not even on the radar as Dean was favored until the media destroyed his chances.

11. The media built Dean up only to knock him down
They love front runners. They are so much fun to tear apart. Kerry was barely a blip on their radar screen, which worked to his advantage.

I've read comparisons here, but can't remember the numbers though.

4. Joe's ego is larger than the state he represents
and the man has never met a camera he didn't like -- but on the issues, he is the next best bet to JRE.

9. ANYBODY who runs for President as a serious candidate MUST have
a HUGH EGO! How in the world could they constantly tell everyone that THEY are the best person in the whole country to do the job well? Another reason I like Joe better than the others is that he's far less removed from the rest of us financially. He really IS still upper middle class and I think can relate better to you and I. Joe is also the least scripted candidate. Yes, that means he sometimes puts his foot in his mouth, but I prefer that as an indicator of someone who is honestly answering your questions to the others who are so very careful never to offend ANYONE!

12. True dat!
He may put his foot in his mouth, but we will at least never have to worry about him talking about putting food on our families or that our childrens do learn or some such.

16. Kucinich is closest to us financially.

I'm sure Biden is far better off financially than Kucinich. I don't know where Biden ranks compared to the others but Dennis has the least in assets, the smallest home, unless he's had a huge increase in assets since the 2004 campaign.

Dennis has since acquired a wife who shares his ideals and is beautiful to boot. I'd love having Elizabeth Kucinich, who buys her clothes in consignment shops, flea markets, etc., as First Lady. By example, she'd be a great influence to an out-of-control consumerist US. Like Lady Bird Johnson and Eleanor Roosevelt, she'd go out into the country and draw attention to the need there is in the US.

23. Biden is rank the 2nd least properous member of the senate
I don't know who is number 1. Biden comes from very humble beginnings and is far from wealthy.

7. If "qualified" is equivalent to experience or years in harness,
then I could agree.
On the other hand, if holding on to blind, dumb opinions for thirty years, equates to experience....ahem.

Actually, I think, except for a few really stupid, anti-real people moves he's made in obeisance to corporate thumb sucking, he's not only well qualified, well spoken, he would be an admirable candidate, acceptable to a very broad cross section of Americans.

19. Wrong choices - Obama and Edwards should be the options.
Edited on Sun Oct-07-07 09:00 PM by smalll
There are three tiers now. Third tier: Richardson, Biden, Dodd, Kucinich, Gravel. Second tier: Obama and Edwards. And then there's Hillary in the first tier - A Tier of Her Own.

Booyah!

Of course, as a supporter, I actually like the forceful steamrolling get-outta-my-way-or-be-roadkill aspect of it as well. :hi:
