8. I honestly don't
get why Dobson, et. al haven't embraced Huckabee as the the chosen one. Maybe he's not rabid enough. He appears too sane to be really what they want.

Keyes/Tancredo They'd go for that one in a heartbeat. I hope they do.

16. Yeah, that must be it
He's too nice. Not rabid enough. Maybe he needs to get bitten by Alan Keyes or Tom Tancredo. The poison seems in and he goes batshit insane, just like them. Then Dobson will have the winner he so longs for.

Hackabee, bitten by the bug of insanity.

21. ??? Compared to who? I don't get the impression that Rudy hates anybody.
Edited on Mon Oct-08-07 09:16 PM by wienerdoggie
Or Romney, or Thompson, or McCain. They're jerks, but not haters.

Huckabee constantly bangs the "family values" drum--that is the most hateful platform I can imagine, frankly.

26. Rudy doesn't hate anyone?
Edited on Mon Oct-08-07 11:07 PM by fujiyama
Have you paid attention to him over the years? I'm not going to necessarily say he's racist, but he has some serious issues with black people considering the way he treated the community in NYC.

As for Romney, he's just a nasty piece of work all around. He gives me the worst vibes of all the candidates I've seen...though Giulliani's pretty close. Romney's as hateful as the rest of them. Don't be fooled. He acted moderate to get elected in Massachusetts but his agenda toward gays is likely straight from the LDS. And McCain has just completely lost it.

24. I said
APPEARS to be sane. I didn't say he was. Anyone who doesn't believe in evolution is pretty much nuts IMHO.

15. He's the mirror image
of many people here, who won't vote for the Dem nominee if they disapprove of the choice. Idiocy is not confine to the right.

I wish Dobson and the rest of his ilk would form their Party of God.

Why didn't Dobson include Romney on that list of his?

I wonder if the C.Coalition are beginning to suspect
that the GOP is trying to change its image. None
of the three mentioned are wear your religion on your
sleeve Christians. Are the Fundies feeling threatened?
So now they are trying to show their clout. Just Curious?
I know the Libertarians and some claasic conservatives
have felt the Fundies hijacked their party. Picked this
up watching the Libertarian Think Tank on C-Span.

23. Watching the GOP implode is very pleasant...
I knew that someday their pact w/the Religious Right would be the key their downfall.

I find it odd, that after a GOP congress and WH, Dobson and the others haven't figured out they've been had on the Choice issue. The ONLY time it comes up is when an election cycle is heating up...

25. A Rasmussen poll
has 27% of Republicans voting for a 3rd party anti-choicer if Rudy gets the nomination.
