Maybe this sounds crazy...but what if Gore runs because he doesn't care if he Wins? |
|
If he wins the Nobel Prize then it crowns all the work he's done on the environment. What else is them for him to do except keep going around giving his presentation over and over.
Having achieved so much on his OWN...the Presidency isn't a prize he needs....which might be why he would decide to throw his hat in the ring...or at the very least put his name on some of those ballot initiatives that are going on across the country to Draft Him.
Gore has a quirky sense of humor...very dry and droll. Now that it doesn't matter if he wins the Presidency he might just decide to go for it and see what happens. THE PRESSURE IS OFF! He's achieved a Pinnacle and can still do that work whether he's President (would give him a bigger platform) or if he just stays Al Gore..."Working for the Environment."
 Maybe it's crazy and wishful thinking...but .....

A candidate who's actually honest because he isn't driven by the blind will to win.
Such a candidate might actually win because of that.

5. I'm convinced one of the reasons Gore isn't running is because he DOES care to win. |

Many polls continue to include Gore in the mix, he tends to get about 15% support, down there on a par with John Edwards. I think he'd consider running if he could enter into the race as the New Inevitable. He doesn't want to fight for it, because he is kind of on a higher plane now, and I don't blame him. If he wins the Nobel Prize, that will only re-enforce his reluctance to get down and dirty again.

15. I missed that one...haven't heard anything about it. With Media Consolidation...it would seem |
|
doubtful...that there's anything beyond Apple and Current TV..but who knows?

What is left? I mean what more can he do to shed more light on his beloved enironment? Oscar? Emmy? Best selling book? Nobel?
Maybe running for president is the last thing he can do to catapault the environment to the front of everyone's consciousness. If you view it this way, if Gore is truly a man of integrity, he MUST run. He simply has no choice but to keep fighting to push this issue because no other candidate is doing it. He will feel compelled to run.
I believe he will run because I believe in his integrity.

Unlike some on the left, it is important to Gore that the Democratic Party take back the White House in 2008, and he won't do anything to jeopardize that opportunity.

There is not a Demcorat running who would not be a 1000 times better than the regime in there now...
To imply otherwise is a Naderite deception...
