In the CNBC debate the man actually said that if the president seeks war authorization from congress and congress says NO, the president has an obligation to go to war anyway and let the chips fall where they may.

And he's the NICE republican.

3. I bet his support picks up five-fold with that one. I have thought
so far that GOPers didn't like him because he wasn't hateful enough. If he's dictatorial enough, it might be just fine with them.

Here I was thinking that he was the nicest one, and aside from the abortion issue and a few others, I thought he was alright for a rethug! I wonder if any rethugs are at all turned off, or is just the opposite ahappening!?? Argh!

14. He's a tricky little dude
and the only one that really worries me. But its just a "little" worry. Glad he outed himself as a dictator-to-be. Gives us good ammunition.

11. Sometimes the only thing that stands between us and military dictatorship is the military.
There are one or two among the brass that would think twice before following such an order.

10. Brrrr. I'm feeling the chill
This is the type of rhetoric that ends republics. I don't know if we're in the last days of constitutionalism, but I know who in this country wants to end it.

Edited on Tue Oct-09-07 06:07 PM by wienerdoggie
edit to add: he also said in a prior debate that he would have to balance the Constitution against his conscience. He is a fucking scary individual.
