That Damn Joe Klein on CNN
Just said that Edwards did so well in Wisconsin because Rethugs were intentionally trying to bring Kerry down and he cited some BS numbers on exit polls.

I am furious. This becomes the CNN meme to hurt Edwards now: the republicans do NOT want to face Kerry.

I am outraged at that little punk who wrote the "anonymous" slur against Clinton's campaign

Watch for this meme to be replayed again and again: the Repubs are AFRAID of Kerry.

Tar Baby: They WANT Kerry. CNN just proved it to me.

1. Unless they have evidence of a GOTV effort, this is BS. Who's to say they
just like Edwards more than Bush and want to vote for him in November.

And a single anecdote from a small town paper's interview isn't going to cut it. We're talking phone banking and pamphleting.

2. I like Joe Klein
He wrote the best biography of Woody Guthrie out there, "Woody Guthrie: A Life".

10. I'm glad to hear that Klein has one redeeming feature.
Anyone who likes Woody Guthrie can't be all bad.

3. The repubs certainly sound organized.
:eyes: Yeah, they ALL met in a secret convention in Milwaukee, and ALL agreed to vote for Edwards, because he will be so much EASIER to beat!! I wonder what other secret marching orders they received?

If anyne believes that, I have some oceanfront property on top of Mt Mitchell to show you....

4. And then most of them voted for someone else, right?

6. I've voted for Buchanan and McCain in the primaries here in Georgia
This isn't very unusual. Many white RepuKKKes brag about voting for Jesse Jackson in the primaries in previous elections.

12. They are extremely organized
How do you think they've been able to gain control of the WH, the Senate, the House, and the Supreme Court - blind luck?

5. CNN has been pushing this sort of thing since last night.
I am not sure why.

8. Why? To discredit Edwards' numbers.
Many Duers here tonight are doing the same thing, but for a different reason.

7. I reject that. I would make more sense if they had voted..
to prop up Dean.

Rush was absolutely stricken today about pubs voting for Edwards.

If Edwards can make the repukes shake like this, I think I'll stay neutral.

9. This is a great time to be a Democrat
Whoever the candidate is, will be much better when he is finally chosen.

The repugs never would do what we are doing, they are running scared, and all the Democratic candidates are formidable, but the last one standing will be the winner, and the toughest one to go against Bush who hasn't even started spending his sleeze money yet

11. You mean these numbers? Why do you say it's BS?
36% of voters who were 'enthusiastic about Bush' voted for Edwards
32% of voters who were 'enthusiastic about Bush' voted for Dean
10% of voters who were 'enthusiastic about Bush' voted for Kerry
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/primaries/pages/epolls/WI/index.html

90% of voters who were 'enthusiastic about Bush' voted against Kerry

15. Why DO Repubs vote in Dem primaries??
Sure there is room for mischief, but I believe that in this particular situation Republicans who are fed up with Bush want to express their anger and are not willing to wait until November to do it. I think it is a symbolic act for them to vote in the Dem primary.
