Biden Takes on Bush, Clinton and Giuliani
U.S. Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., has been involved in Washington politics for a long time. Elected to the Senate when he was 29, Biden has served through seven presidential administrations, three wars and two impeachments, a point he mentioned to about 75 people at New England College in Henniker this weekend. It is his lengthy tenure and his experience with foreign policy that Biden has been using on the trail to convince voters he is the candidate with the experience to be president.

"There are an awful lot of candidates running for president of the United States out there, all 800 of us," Biden joked. "Because, quite frankly, there's so much at stake right now. There is not an election that any of you have voted in, no matter what your age, that will be as consequential to the future of America as this election."

Most of the people who came out to see Biden on the cool Saturday morning were out-of-state parents of students at the college looking to get a taste of the New Hampshire primary process. Biden slammed Bush on foreign policy, criticized his fellow Democrats for having no backbone and wooed the crowd with his talk about making college more affordable through federal aid.

“I love , ‘I worked my way through ,’” Biden said. “I worked my way through college but when I was in college, tuition was $345 a year.”

2. I found his answers about his Iraq resolution very interesting
He worked a long time getting this ready to take to the senate floor. He didn't rush it before the time was right to get it passed. It was quite an accomplishment which sadly received little press.

I found this answer rather revealing:

"The third thing was working internationally with Iraqi leaders as well as foreign leaders in other countries to make the case as to why this was the best plan, because initially not many people embraced it. And I spent a lot of time with people in the administration who I will not name because they will get in trouble, who I know were empathetic to my position and were trying to convince the president to change his position on this."

This is one hardworking senator/presidential candidate.

3. It was interesting reading about how he accomplished his big Senate win.
He really understands how to get things accomplished - and this was a huge accomplishment - the first time a majority of Senators agreed on Iraq.
