Poll question: How many people do you know, not including yourself, that support Hillary?
Edited on Thu Oct-11-07 12:27 PM by Dawgs
I'm talking about inviduals that you know personally.

I don't know any. My Mom knows one, and I've seen one bumper sticker, but that's it. On the other hand, I know many Democrats that are scared to death of her getting the nomination.

So, how many people do you personally know that support Hillary?

Seriously. Zero.

are mostly supporting her because they think she is slated to win.

between In The Primaries and In The General Election.

The man who has been doing my landscaping is an African American gentleman who quit school in the ninth grade... But he went back and took classes in horticulture and built himself a nice business...He has been doing my landscaping for ten years which is a long time to have one landscaper...We talk politics ...Sports...Whatever... James told me he's voting for Hillary...

My buddy ,Nate, another African American is career military with Bronze Stars from Korea and Nam...He also has an award from the Southern Poverty Law Center which he is prouder of than his Bronze Stars... I only saw the Bronze Stars because it was on his wall next to the SCLC award he was showing me... He was more proud of the SCLC award...I kept saying "Nate- you have two Bronze Stars-wow." He has books all around his house by Richard Clarke, Obama, the Clintons... He's torn , as you would suspect, between Hillary and Obama...

My mom's attorney who just made the list of the one hundred best trial attorneys in America is supporting Hillary Clinton...Ironically, that's the same list John Edwards made when he was a trial attorney...By the way she is solidly liberal...She donated to Jesse Jackson's 1988 campaign...

My former business partner and friend is supporting Hillary...It's surprising because he sometimes utters this chauvinist nonsense that I call him on...For instance he will refer to the women who do graphic work for us as "girls" in a diminutive way... I tell him they are women...This isn't the 1950's...

An appellate lawyer I know contributed $250.00 to Hillary's campaign...

In the interestof full disclosure , a DU friend and business colleague of mine, is not supporting HRC... She thinks she is too "corporatist."

19. Sheeple People
Go ahead support the Clintons. The main media certainly does and to me that is really scary. My gut says she's for the corporate entity that this nation has become. She is the desired candidate of the Republicans because in essence she is one. Don't be fooled. Do you think the corporate media would be promoting someone who actually stands for a real change for the good of the people. Have we not learned from our experience in this age that we in the U.S. are controlled by the corporate propaganda. This has been going on for a very long time in this country. We as a people have been unconscious and naive. We've been brainwashed and controlled. For the general public the education level of our people as a whole is very poor in relation to the rest of the developed peoples. We know alot about television and the movie stars. Believe it or not, this I believe has been part of the plan to keep us all stupid and in line. We now stand by idle as the constitution and our rights are trampled and the fully evolved corporation writes the rules. I suggest that you don't believe anything that is promoted by the corporation. Look to your heart, for only their will the truth be found.Beware of the deceivers!

16. What Does It Really Matter? While I WILL Fight For Another, I Do
honestly think that NO MATTER what "the base" says or does we essentially will be IGNORED!

The truth and DIRTY DIRTY reality of The Machine OF Hillary is that not only does she have super corporate, lobbyist support, she has managed to reach in and pluck almost every SUPER organization in this country! Not until today has it really hit home how very SCREWED we really are as a once great Democratic Party! Bought AND Paid for, wrapped up in silver and gold bows to present to a public who simply thinks a change of party will make a difference.

But there is actually NO DIFFERENCE! She has dipped into every nook of NYC to get tremendous support from many I could never have imagined would be fooled because they were once Liberals! Somehow she has managed to fool D.C. and is the Darling of the Elites, and in GOLLYWOOD, the likes of Rob Reiner blithely support her!! People who I ALWAYS imagined as true and loyal Democrats, maybe not super Liberals, but Liberals nonetheless, who seem to have sold out too! And what for?? Mo' MONEY to line their pockets hoping for even more favors to make them even richer! More positions to keep them front and center and a way to rule a once great country!

It sickens me to the core! As I said, I will work to help the candidate I support now... but given her anointment already I wonder how the other candidates must feel. Even her support on issues that aren't supported by many are being overlooked because as a song Jackson Browne once wrote said... They sell us our Presidents, like they sell us our clothes and our cars! Those words have never been more true. BTW the name of the song is "Lives In The Balance" from the 80's!

I'm tempted to say "should" she become the nominee, the "should" being the operative word... it almost seems a forgone conclusion despite what so many others really don't want to happen. Pink Floyd... MONEY! It's seared into my mind! I have made up my mind that this will be my last excursion into politics, and that I don't see any difference between her and a Repuke candidate, so the day they say she's the nominee, that's the day I quit!

I WILL NOT VOTE FOR HER! I WILL NOT JOIN ANOTHER PARTY, and what will be will be!

Flame Away!!!!!!

20. Russ Feingold... Why Oh Why Did We Lose Paul Wellstone & WHY
can't this country realize that people like Feingold think about "the little guy?"

My liberalism is showing I know, and soon I may be called even worse... but I was raised to believe that ALL Americans mattered and that if we voted, our votes would count!

Will we be forced to call her Queen Hillary? I wonder, because we are well on our way of creating the MONARCHY from which this country once fled!

I know no one who supports Hillary. My husband has a colleague who supports her because she wants a woman to become president - not that she supports HC on issues, policy, ideology, just the fact that she's a woman.

I have been a Democrat all my life, but if she gets the nomination, I may stay away from the polls for the first time. And please, don't tell me that's like electing a Republican. With Hillary, there is little difference.

That also doesn't mean that this poll proves Hillary will lose.

It's a legitimate question. It's not an attempt to show who will win and who won't.

sitting around me here at work here in SF, according to a voice vote, none of them planning on voting for her in the primary. Kucinich and Edwards are the choices.

My therapist is not voting for her, neither is my sister. My Mom was a supporter until the last debate and the Iran vote. Now she will only vote for her if she's the nominee.
