Question..Postal employees health care

Anyone here work for the post office? Where do postal employees get their health care insurance? Is it the same as the members of congress? Is there a US gov't health insurance company? Are gov't workers asked to pay part of the premiums? Is health insurance for gov't employees contracted out to private companies, So the taxpayers pay private companies to provide insurance to federal employees? How does this work? Can I buy in? Sounds like government sponsered health care to me. I must be wrong, cause no one ever brings this up.

NALC runs a Mutual Benefit Program for its medical provisions, each Carrier pays into the fund in exchange for medical coverage:

I do NOT know how the Clerks do their Medical Coverage, but I assume it is a Similar program.

One caveat: the NALC medical program is the only medical program I know of which covers grandchildren living with their Grandparents (where the parents do NOT). If the parents live with the Grandparents (Who are a member of NALC) this rule does NOT apply, it is design to help those Grandparents who are raising their Grandchildren without the parents.
