CIA "rendition" flights as cover for drug smuggling: Did the Inspector General discover the Agency's
dirtiest secret?

http://cannonfire.blogspot.com/2007/10/unprecedented.html

Anyone who has followed CIA scandals will find no historical parallel to this story. CIA Director Michael Hayden wants to inspect his Inspector General, John L. Helgerson. Helgerson has been looking rather too closely at the CIA's rendition programs.

The Inspector General (or IG) runs the Agency's "internal affairs" department -- in other words, he polices the CIA. Usually, the IG is one of the "old boys," but ocasionally the gig to someone who plays hardball.

3. Rendition flights could have been a cover for every crime on the books.
Republican administration's aren't all that law-abiding nor do they have any regard for human life. There's no end to the possibilities. They've improved on their criminal activities since the Reagan years. They're cockier, dumber, and have absolutely the least human decency than any other administration in the history of our poor country. Why would they stop at drug running?
