Do you think Gore will endorse a candidate before the Iowa caucus? |
|
I think that would be a really powerful endorsement.

9. There was a discussion about this on msnbc today... |

Some say that it's best for his cause not to endorse, but to use his clout to hold all their feet to the fire on the issue of global warming.

17. Because if the candidate he endorses doesn't win the nomination |

Then his endorsement would be worthless in a GE.

....he'll do it that way, because it's the classy thing to do. Stay out of the inner party fighting and support the candidate chosen by the voters*.
*if the voters do actually get to have their votes accurately.

10. Because , as he said last week, there isn't a Democratic candidate with a "clear" environmental |

platform,at least not one that meets his standards. He said he isn't sure he is going to endorse anyone. I think he is also still mulling over running. But that is just my opinion.I have no idea what decision he would make. In reality, if he doesn't run, I do not think he will endorse. He has some bad blood with the Clintons and he wouldn't want to offend some of his long time friends like Biden and Dodd, so I think he won't endorse.

14. Nice but I don't think he will endorse until after the primaries. |
|
I think he is only saying the "platform" stuff" as cover and to be polite. And he is really concious that his Dean endorsement didn't help Dean last time. And he his probably buying time, looking at the landscape , deciding whether to run.

8. Good question. My guess is that he'll wait until there is a clear nominee |
|
and then rally behind that person.

He'll wait until the nom is decided. Then, maybe, he'll endorse someone.
