Clintons applaud Gore for Nobel Peace Prize
Fri Oct 12, 2007 11:56am EDT

<edit>

"Al Gore has been warning and educating us about the dangers of climate change for decades," Clinton, the U.S. president from 1993-2001, said in a statement.

"He saw this coming before others in public life and never stopped pushing for action to save our planet, even in the face of public indifference and attacks from those determined to defend the indefensible."

In 2000 Gore lost the closest presidential election in U.S. history after losing a Florida recount battle to Republican George W. Bush.

In the months leading up to the 2000 election, Gore distanced himself from President Clinton. Friends say he has good relations with Sen. Clinton and admires her.

3. "Clinton, the U.S. president from 1993-2001..."
I guess Reuters is erring on the side of caution, but I doubt that anyone interested in this story wouldn't know that.

9. I"ve always assumed Reuters is a fairly credible source. I don't
know of any reason to doubt the truth of the story.

7. I want Gore to run . . .
. . . I really really really do.

But if he decides not to and another dem wins and they create a Global Warming Czar and make Gore that Czar, I'll be happy.
