> Mental Health Parity: This week in my Health Subcommittee we passed H.R. 1424, the Paul Wellstone Mental Health Equity Act that prohibits insurance company discrimination against those affected with mental health and substance related disorders.

> Civil Liberties: In the Judiciary Committee, I voted with the majority to pass the "RESTORE" Act - The Responsible Electronic Surveillance that is Overseen, Reviewed, and Effective Act of 2007 (H.R. 3773). The bill seeks to remedy flaws in previously adopted legislation and rein in the Administration’s abuses of the Constitution.
