Look what sleazebag Limbaugh is up to now.
He gets the original letter sent to the head of Clear Channel by Sen. Harry Reid re: "phony soldier" resolution with signatures of 41 senators. Then he offers it up on eBay, with the proceeds of the auction promised to a military charity.

Basically he ponies up not one cent of his own money to donate to anyone - the letter was given to him - instead some brain-dead right wing ass-kissing high bidder with deep pockets will pay a ridiculous price for this thing and sleazebag Limbaugh will claim he made a great contribution to a military cause - and it will cost him zip-zero-nada.

What a piece of scum.............

2. It would be great if any DUers who supported that resolution bid on the letter...
The resolution was such a wonderful idea. :sarcasm:

5. Not only that,
he's challenged the Dems to donate an amount equal to the winning bid to the same charity. Kind of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" kind of thing.

6. Not just that, but it has to go to "his" charity...
The Marine Corps 'some dumb thing'...that he Chairs!

if he really wanted to give it to a charity, why not something other than one he essentially "owns"!

Once again, Rush Limbaugh, asshole of the universe.

9. Actually,
it sounds like it's a pretty good charity: Scholarships for the children of deceased Marines and law enforcement personnel. Guess I don't have a problem with that.

He also raises money for leukemia/lymphoma, a cause near and dear to my heart. Let's face it, no one is ALL bad.

12. I am not saying it is a "bad" charity, I am saying he could have
used just a tad more sense about it.

Persoanlly, if it goes for the $25,000+ that is up there now, I think it's fine for the $ to go to charity. He's merely using this as one more excuse to pander to himself.

11. If I may
Actually he does NOT chair the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation. He is one of more than 30 board members.

it, now I could be wrong, but I swear that is what I heard him say.

As for charities, I have no problem at all where the money goes, but I do have to question anything that comes from Limbaugh, his penchant for telling the truth simply does not exist.

As for scholarships to USMC dependants, I am all for that, but he doesn't realize that there would be little need for them, under his auspices for them, if Marines were not be killed in Iraq in the first place.

A dead parent is a high price to pay for a college education, when that price need not be paid in the first place.

7. It's set up so that only certain people can bid on it.
He said something screening the bidders and keeping it out of the hands of any Democrat in public office, (or something to that effect)

I'd love to see someone like Sorros win it and rub Limbaugh's fat face in it.

19. Could the 41 have made it any easier?
Great PR for him, makes them look bad if they don't match the contribution and doesn't cost him a single stinking dime.

They know that he is going to hit back, so they pitch him a slow ball at waist height.

Regard, Mugu
