What's your political philosophy? (25 words or less)
Any concentration of power will be abused. Free expression is the essential right. Capitalism is a practical tool, desirable only insofar as it maximizes prosperity.

...is never equal to the power of the masses to torch their wealth and ignore them. Power lies in the masses, if the masses have knowledge of such.

10. Yes, many who are obsessed with punishment are projecting their shame or self-loathing
I am always alarmed out by the threads in GD about what tortures should be done to some child molester... who thinks like that? Whatever society does to criminals should be done for a rational, practical, dispassionate purpose in service of legitimate state interests, not for the gratification of spectators.

To paraphrase Immanuel Kant. Basically treat people as human beings that have their own wants, needs, desires and dreams, not as cogs in a corporate capitalist machine to enrich a few.

18. I believe government is there to
provide opportunities for all citizens to be succesful in society. Capitalism is good, but everyone should be at least decently-equipped to be succesful in the system. The government should make sure that happens.
