Al Gore believes Hillary Clinton is unstoppable
Hillary Clinton's lead in the race for the White House is now so formidable that, even with his Nobel Peace Prize, Al Gore considers her unbeatable, according to his former campaign aides.

The former vice-president, whose supporters have formed a shadow campaign team in case he decides to run, has told friends he is reluctant to take on her formidable political organisation by throwing his hat into the ring.

One strong backer of the beaten candidate in 2000 told The Sunday Telegraph that the Nobel Prize had "increased his artillery" should he decide to risk making a second bid for the White House, but added that this was now likely only if Mrs Clinton made an unexpected slip.

For the former first lady, Mr Gore's reluctance to parlay his Nobel victory into his own attempt to reach the White House is further evidence of her remarkable political renaissance.

1. Which former campaign aides: Shrum or Brazille?

I do not believe he will run, but these types of articles are just plain silly: a ton of anonymous sources telling us what somebody else thinks...

Do you think there is a small possibility that, after all the negative attacks Gore has received from both sides during the last 8 years, he would be reluctant to jump in the same fish tank that is so self-centered and so uninterested by the country interests...

2. "If she wins,
If she wins, America will by 2012 have had a Bush or a Clinton as president or vice-president for 32 - the kind of dynastic power not seen in Britain for 200 years."

Makes our independence oh so worth it, doesn't it? :eyes:

5. This voter doesn't.
And I don't believe that most voters do regardless of how inevitable her friends say her coronation is.

7. I'm not worried about the Dynasty thing.
I don't think the Clintons and the Bushes are especially close. In fact I guess they don't hang out together at all. So comparing these two families with a hereditary monarchy is a stretch.

It's kind of like saying that Hillary should not be allowed to run for President because she is married to a former President. But we should not ignore the fact that Hillary has been elected to the Senate twice over from one of the 3 largest States in the Union (in terms of population).

They don't hang out together at all. Especially these two. Everyone knows they barely know each other :eyes:

10. The "dynasty" bullshit....
is laughable at best. Bill Clinton is elected president. He's elected again by who? The American people. Bush stole two elections. Now HRC is running for president. Guess what? She is not being forced upon us by right of succession. She is running a campaign dependent upon the opinions of free citizens of this country. Add the fact that the two camps, Bush and Clinton, are not, as some would have us believe, two peas in a pod. They are politically opposed to each other. Just because we had peace and prosperity under Clinton, and traitorous ruination under Bush, does not constitute a continuing dynasty of two families. The equation of the Bush clan and the Clintons is simply nonsense. If the sons and daughters of these two families are in charge twenty years from now by way of succession, then we can talk dynasty. In my opinion, which we all know about those, it would be foolish to deny this country it's best chance at recovery because over-imaginative people see boogeymen under their beds when they go to sleep at night, and unfortunately, the boogeymen are multiplying here as we speak. Like I said, it's just my opinion. Thanks.

11. If the sons and daughters of these two families?
So the first father son tragedy doesn't count? We have to do it again for before it's a dynasty?

You're right just your opinion. And it differs greatly from mine. With 300,000,000 people in this country, I think we could do better than continue a two family regime.
