I think part of Hillary's worldwide appeal & success can be attributed to her beauty & charisma
Anyone who thinks otherwise has never had the good fortune to have seen this lady in person. She rocks. Looks-wise, she reminds me of whatever her name is who was the mother of the Partridge family in that old TV show.

A lot of it is in the sound of her voice. It's got a magical tone to it if you know what I mean, like in a Carly Simon kind of way. Add her captivating voice to her wholesome good looks, and it spells a recipe for instant TURN-ON. Then add all of that to her brilliance, experience, & performance, and it's no small wonder that she's practically unbeatable. No matter who the repukes pit against her, they'll be calling the 2008 Presidential election the second coming of "Beauty and the Beast", especially if any of those pukes like Guilaini, McCain, or Thompson goes against her.

The lady is HOT.

43. My pleasure, Tellurian
Hillary just inspires. If it's not her wisdom, it's her voice. If it's not her voice it's her eyes. If it's not her eyes, it's her smile. If it's not her smile, it's her words. The lady has an arsenal of weapons, it's as simple as that. If she gets the nod, and it looks like she will, I can't wait to see her kick Republican ass, Clinton style. yeah

:hi:

I just thought perhaps a visual would help in this thread. Can't do anything about the Carly Simon audio, maybe somebody can youtube her or something.

Slightly OT, but I think Carly is a Hillary supporter? Don't know about Shirley.

Edited on Tue Oct-16-07 02:13 PM by saracat
NOT sound like Hillary. I had a vocal coach who was a friend of Carly's and she said "Are you aware you sound just like Carly Simon. both speaking and singing?" I had an interview with Carly, (I didn't do it ,just listened to it,) and everyone thought it was me, including myself. It was very odd. Neither of us sound like Hillary. Part of it is where we were raised. Both Carly and I are from Westchester NY and Hillary is not. She is a Chicago girl and both Carly and I have lower timbres to our voice. But I find nothing wrong with Hillary's voice. the only criticism some might make is she has a bit of a flat midwestern accent.Big deal.

80. I said her voice has , "a magical tone to it, like in a Carly Simon kind of way"
I didn't mean that Hillary sounded just like Carly. I meant it just as I said...that her voice has a magical tone to it...."in a Carly Simon kind of way", which is relating more to both their voices being magical...or rich...than sounding exactly alike. I think people read too quickly sometimes and then get all technical. No problem, though.

Anyway, the Goddess of Peace's voice is one of those voices (like Carly's) that just does things to you. Mary Hart had a "spoken" voice that was a knockout, too. I think rich sounding voices are awesome, even if they're just the spoken voice.

83. Heck no. Don't put too much stock in all the hawkish labels on her. It's all an illusion.
In this messed up country of ours, there's no way a liberal woman like Hillary will ever get elected without putting on an air of slight hawkishness. Don't worry, when the Goddess of Peace gets elected, she'll make things right. She'll end the war, she'll stop sounding so hawkish, and she'll use diplomacy as her means of making peace...with war only an option if the life of our country depended on it and if it was the last and final option.

Once elected, she'll make every nightmare come true for Republicans. Everything they've always dreaded about her will come true because she'll be the liberal president that they always feared she would be. By the 2nd year of her first term, even the people on the far left will be celebrating and dancing in the streets and saying how they were so wrong about her. Just wait and see. :smoke:

for her when she voted for Kyl/Lieberman. She wasn't in a good place refusing to disavow her Iraq war vote and instead she confirmed her vote with this latest action. She is not a real "feminist "' if she feels she has to "pretend to "hawkishness" to get elected. I do not respect such duplicity and I judge a woman by exactly the same standards that I judge a male candidate. Integrity counts and she doesn't have it. I will never celebrate the election of a political expedient.

the deciding factor in elections because it enables the candidate to get his meaage across and be 'listened ' to.Hillary does not have any charisma. Her husband has it in buckets.Hillary has the Clinton machine behind her.She doesn't need charisam and doesn't want to be listened to.That is why she alters her positions so much. She is a creature of politcal experdiency.

25. You're right about that
I wouldn't say "much" rounder but there is a difference. So yeah, HRC's face is longer and thinner by a bit. But not enough to make the differences fade away. And the necks are completely different

I wouldn't say they could double for each other, but they do look very much alike. Not that anyone would mistake one for the other.

Bush is a prime example of someone who was STAGED like a house for sale to appeal to the target population.

should have made the voters run for the hills.

His fiscal incompetence was evident both in his personal life and his term as governor.

His lack of Christian values should have been obvious from his pitiful performance re death sentence appeals.

His surrounding himself with cronies instead of competent people right out of the starting gate

The politicals of innuendo and personal destruction, obvious from his Texas campaigns.

The man had NO qualifications for the office.

Hey, next time the Goddess of Peace takes center stage, stop and really listen to her voice. It's mesmorizing. There's a quality to it that resonates and hypnotizes. The lady could be the lead singer of 4 Non Blondes with a voice like that, maybe even the next Janis Joplin if she has time. From any research I've done, it's pretty rare to find someone with as rich a voice as Hillary, along with a brilliant mind and such a wholesome "girl next door" look. No wonder the country can't get enough of her. Ooooh la la.

I guarantee you the race will be a close one, although in the end, she'll win the Crown of this Monarchy.

Make no mistake though, it will be a close horserace, for the media to spend 10 months getting excited over. It will not be easy, and the margin of victory will be within 5 percentage points.

But that's exactly the way the Corporate WHORE Media wants it. More money for their coverage, than if it was a runaway.

58. Yeah, I'd say virtually all of it
She also gets some points for being feisty; that plays with lots of people.

If prettiness was what should be valued for a president we should have elected Quayle.

This is a ridiculous and facile thread, but it's true: she wins on those levels. She's very good looking and has a lot of charm.

I can't stand her policies, though, don't trust her to the door and resent the feeling of privilege. Enough of that, though; I've stated that plenty elsewhere and will continue to do so.

59. So then let's cast her in the next Hollywood movie, not the Presidency
Those things are irrelevant for the Presidency.

60. If she wasnt on the MSM now or back when Bill was in office...
where would she be? I don't care how someone looks, if you aren't part of the club, you are not going far.

Nevermind their . . . what's that thing called . . . STANCES on issues like free trade, Big-Insurance-controlled health care and Bewsh's wars. It's all about the LOOKS!

69. Learn to read. I said it's PART of her success, not "ALL about the looks". Geesh.
There's no need for you to hold Hillary's beauty against her, Hugh. The lady too much class to let her beauty get in the way. yeah

To be honest, I think you forgot to put the sarcasm smiley at the end of your post. Her voice has a "magical tone"?
