Senator Obama's spokesman just took a huge swipe at Giuliani, who
made a snarky "Obama is no Reagan" remark.

Obama's guy said something about how Giuliani had no problem cozying up to HUGO Chavez and taking his dough! He also threw a line in there that sort of put Rudy and Senator Clinton in the same box.

Details escape me. You'll have to turn on the tube.

I just caught the tail end on MSGOP...I'm sure they'll put it in heavy rotation. These catfights always excite the punditry.

1. I'd take not being another "Reagan" as a compliment
because that is the LAST thing we need. :D

2. "Obama is no Reagan?" ????? WTF?
Is that supposed to be an insult? I mean, Obama's a black liberal Democrat, a hard-working senator, and a very bright guy with an excellent understanding of the issues and a compassionate approach to solutions. Plus he's happily married to his first wife. Yep, he DEFINITELY is no Reagan...

So either Ghouliani is telling the truth for the first time in living memory, or he's batshit crazy.

Hand reports, you decide.

Well, shut my mouth! Who knew?

Who says 9/11 is all Rudith has going for him? His judgment is sharp as a brick, too.

5. Rudy was trying to get snarky about Obama's statements about diplomacy.
Obama used Reagan's diplomatic discussions as an example, so Rudy came back with the Quayle-ism.

6. Rudy 'I'm Really Not a Republican Mayor' Giuliani has a lot of chutzpah
Rudy: 'I'm Really Not' a Republican Mayor

10.16.07 -- 4:08PM
By David Kurtz

In trying to prove his GOP bona fides, Rudy Giuliani said in a speech today that he "gave my blood" for the Republican Party in New York.

But 'twas not always so.

Greg Sargent has obtained a copy of a video showing Rudy back in 1996 telling Charlie Rose, "I'm really not" a Republican Mayor.

Take a look.
