Clinton Linked Pollster Produces Poll for CNN showing Blacks prefer Clinton over Obama
Edited on Fri Oct-19-07 08:16 PM by illinoisprogressive
A new CNN/Opinion Research poll shows that black people support Hillary over Obama.

Excuse me if I’m skeptical since the leader of the Opinion Research company, Vinod Gupta, is a major donor and fundraiser to the Clinton campaigns and foundations, spent time in the Lincoln Bedroom during the Clinton Administration, goes on vacation with the Clintons, built a “Bill Clinton Science and Technology Center” and a “Hillary Rodham Clinton Mass Communication Center” in India, gave the Clintons $3 million in consulting contracts, and the Clintons formerly held stock options in his company.

Searching for this pollster’s contributions to Hillary in the FEC reports doesn’t give me much more confidence in this poll.

Donations to Hillary Clinton from the CEO of the Opinion Research/InfoUSA Company

snip

If all that wasn’t enough, this pollster has already declared about Hillary, “She will be the next President.”

It reminds me of several weeks ago when an AP article came out where people expressed concerns about Hillary’s electability. Lo and behold, the very next day a new poll came out by CNN/Opinion Research group showing Americans believe Hillary is more electable.

Maybe it’s just me though. I could be biased. Maybe I’m overanalyzing things.

1. The entire election process in the U.S. is a pretend-election. nt

2. I think the primaries are pretty honest
And I think the polls are pretty accurate too. BUT the polls are just a snapshot of where we are today. I'm old enough to remember how things often change dramatically in the months before an election.

4. They can't be....
... the entire system is flawed because only those whom the rich and corporations choose to give money to, can run for the primaries.

3. While Obama seems to have accepted the results as reality - it is only 307 blacks so it has a 6% MOE
I would not put too much faith in the numbers as indicators of future primary or general election results.

========================================================================
"Among black registered Democrats overall, Clinton had a 57 percent to 33 percent lead over Obama.

That's up from 53 percent for Clinton and 36 percent for Obama in a poll carried out in April

The former first lady's strongest support among blacks came from black women, 68 percent of whom identified her as their likely choice, versus 25 percent who cited Obama, the senator from Illinois who is African-American.

Black men who are registered Democrats were nearly evenly split, with 42 percent favoring Clinton and 46 percent favoring Obama. The sampling error of that question was plus-or-minus 8 percentage points."

===========================================================

I did find the male/female differences interesting.
