This is the second article like this that I saw in two days. Why can't they just accept that he won and move on? Well I'll just say it adds two more ASSHOLES to my list besides Brent Bozell III. Steven Milloy and the "judge".

Junk Science: Hey Al Gore, We Want a Refund!
Friday, October 19, 2007
By Steven Milloy
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,303525,00.html

A British judge ruled on the eve of Al Gore co-winning the Nobel Peace Prize that students forced to watch "An Inconvenient Truth" must be warned of the film’s factual errors. But would there be any science at all left in Gore’s "truth" if these errors and their progeny were excised?

Minutes of non-science filler dominate the opening sequence — images of the Gore farm, Earth from space, Gore giving his slideshow and the 2000 election controversy. Gore then links Hurricane Katrina with global warming. But the judge ruled that was erroneous, so the Katrina scenes would wind up on the cutting-room floor.

<<snip>>

The Mt. Kilimanjaro error commences an almost 10-minute stretch of problematic footage, the bulk of which contains Gore’s presentation of the crucial issue in the global warming controversy — whether increasing levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide drive global temperatures higher. As the judge ruled that the Antarctic ice core data presented in the film "do not establish what Mr. Gore asserts," this inconvenient untruth also needs to go. http://youtube.com/watch?v=XDI2NVTYRXU>

After still more filler footage about Winston Churchill, the 2000 election, and rising insurance claims from natural disasters, Gore spends about 35 seconds on how the drying of Lake Chad is due to global warming. The judge ruled that this claim wasn’t supported by the scientific evidence.

More filler leads to a 30-second clip about how global warming is causing polar bears to drown because they have to swim greater distances to find sea ice on which to rest. The judge ruled however, that the polar bears in question had actually drowned because of a particularly violent storm.

<<snip>>

Considering that a key 25 percent of "An Inconvenient Truth" is not true — and perhaps intentionally so — it seems only fair that Gore offer a refund to moviegoers, DVD/book purchasers and speaking sponsors. Where are the class action lawyers when you need them?

1. Pure and Simple--Money--Taxes
Edited on Fri Oct-19-07 11:15 PM by OHdem10
If Gore is correct, so think the RWers, the Country must take
action. Taking Action costs money. The Elites and the RWers
hate paying taxes. Gop only cut taxes, remember.

Added: Business and Corporations would be greatly inconvenienced
by Environmental Regulations. The Elites like the big returns
on their Investments.

Money, Honey and Taxes.

2. Judge Andrew Napolitano
Neophyte bozo who does the typical bidding on FauxNews while portraying himself as some kind of legal expert. I think he hosts a radio show too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Napolitano

7. In case thee havn't seen this

(snip)

The distribution of The Great Global Warming Swindle is being funded by Viscount Monckton, who is part of a counter-campaign to undermine the scientific consensus on climate change.

Monckton was one of the backers of Stewart Dimmock, the Kent lorry driver and school governor who took the government to court for sending copies of Gore’s film to schools.

The two are connected through the New party, a right-wing group whose manifesto was written by Monckton and of which Dimmock is a member.

(snip)

Monckton has obtained funding from a right-wing Washington think tank, the Science and Public Policy Institute (SPPI), to create a second film that will also be sent to schools. Entitled Apocalypse No, it parodies Gore, showing Monckton presenting a slide show in a vitriolic attack on climate change science.

Bob Ferguson, president of the SPPI, said: “We have filmed Christopher making a presentation to the Cambridge University Union . . . It could be sent out quite soon. We want to inform the public and policy makers that there are different views on climate change.”

8. In a globalised media world
one uses other countries media to de-legitimise something like Al Gore's film, and then the media in the u.s. comments on it with "well in britain .. etc, etc".

If the attack had come from within the u.s. it would have looked exactly like it is, a partisan political hatchett job. This way the attack has been 'laundered' by originating from another country, even if it is the same money funding it

10. Because he won the popular vote in 2000, and that gets their goat.
They know that at least half the country, maybe more, thinks that Gore should've won the Presidency and that the country would be better off if he had. Some of those people are Republicans, who recognize how terrible * has been.

And this really really really gets their goat. They would love for Gore's character to be smeared as a way of showing, hey, see...he's not that different from *, and aren't we all glad that he didn't win the 2000 election, despite popular vote? Those people who voted for him were WRONG!

But...heheheheheheh....I don't think they'll destroy Gore. He DOES have character and integrity, and that's something that a person has to give away...it can't be taken away.

11. That is what pisses me off so much...
Gore does have character and integrity and they are trying to fool people into thinking he is a liar.
