US intelligence does not show Syrian nuclear weapons program, officials say

Cheney hand seen behind leaks of 'misleading' stories

Allegations that a Syrian envoy admitted during a United Nations meeting Oct. 17 that an Israeli air strike hit a nuclear facility in September are inaccurate and have raised the ire of some in the US intelligence community, who see the Vice President’s hand as allegedly being behind the disinformation.

1. Without a doubt dick has been feeding the press a boatload of propaganda
lately. Iran developing nuclear weapons, Iranians attacking US troops, Syria and its nuclear program.

Where is that lying criminal bastard anyway? He's sure been keeping a low profile lately.

4. interesting - it may be the words - no "facility" but dirty bomb material is what I heard - then
Edited on Sat Oct-20-07 09:00 AM by papau
again, both stories may be cover for an actual nuke weapon facility since having such a facility, and N. Korea feeding it post agreements, screws up all those agreements and would lead into calls for actual US actions - actions that would screw up cooling down the N. Korea problem, and any hope of getting Syria into peace discussions.

But I like blaming anything on Cheney (the devil) as he has escaped an adequate amount of blame on so much.
