Kerry's staff needs to detonate all podiums and mikestands.
Kerry gets stapled to a podium, and when his hands get stapled to the podium, the droning begins. No more mike stands, either. Kerry's arms hang limp at his sides after he walks up to a mikestand.

Kerry is a far better speaker with a mike, no podium, and room to move around on a platform. Leave a mike on a stool for the candidate. Let Kerry use a mike in hand and re-inforce that he can't stand behind a mikestand or podium. When Kerry is holding a mike, his body language is much more animated.

Jerry Springer interview him........It would be more motivating. Springer is a beloved Ohio democrat too. he won't pull any tricky questions.

3. Great observation
You should send your thoughts to his campaign staff. I've watched him too and he is much more effective in a casual, town hall setting.

6. Clinton was horrible behind podiums, too.
Clinton's worst speeches were behind fixed podiums. His DNC keynote address. The SOTU addresses. Getting Clinton out among his supporters into interactive settings was key to Clinton's success.

8. I think Edwards does better during Q&A with the audience
than in debates. It is hard to be engaging behind a lectern. And hard for most people to be compelling in one minute or less.

9. You should post the suggestion on his website forum
which is a nifty idea also. I like msg boards much better than blogs which confuse me haha.
