9. Good. Sullivan is a prominent GAY conservative journalist /blogger who hates the neocons.
It's prime evidence of Obama's crossover appeal. Here's what he had to say recently on his blog:

Obama Calls Solmonese
24 Oct 2007 08:45 pm

He places a call to Hillary Clinton's de facto gay campaign chair and tries to head off the flap over an anti-gay Gospel
singer on a campaign tour. The gesture is adding an openly gay singer to the tour as well. A workable compromise. I
don't know how McClurkin got invited. A staffer should have done due diligence and avoided the pick. But I can't say
I find this a big deal, and Clinton's gay surrogates, i.e. HRC, have made hay out of it. That's politics, of course, and
Obama needs to get better at it.

http://www.typepad.com/t/trackback/2224950/22739128

He's been for Obama for awhile. He can't stand Hillary, of course.

Edited on Sat Oct-27-07 12:37 AM by DemFemme
He's a self-described libertarian conservative, more a Goldwater Republican like Hillary was. <snark>

And of course, Hillary supporters NEVER agree with the rightwing about Obama, right? They never quote from Drudge or The NY Sun or The
Washington Times, right? Hypocrisy much?

And there's nothing wrong with Bill being Barbara and Bush, Sr.'s "fifth child", right? Hey, does that mean he and Dubya are brothers?

20. I must be watching a re-run with Clark on it
because Sullivan is getting smacked down hard by Clark. In the first exchange, Clark got a nice round of applause, while Sully got none. The 2nd round, Clark didn't get applauded, but the audience LAUGHED at Sully. Later on, Clark got another round of applause and Silly got laughed at AGAIN!!

He really is an ass. I'm glad he like Obama

22. He was disappointing
Clark is claiming Iran is behind many terrorist attacks and has been for many years. He claims that Muslim women choose to wear burkas, polling in Muslim countries prove this.?!!

We have issues with Iran but he seemed quite certain that Iran must be dealt with using negotiations and sanctions and let them know we will not allow them to get the nukes. (Using my words to describe his)..... That the condemnation of the Iranian ? Guard was absolutely the right thing to do which is how Hillary saw the issue.

40. Clark Did Not Defend Her View Point Very Well... I Like Clark, But He
did not do well with that answer. He seemed to fumble around with it while defending Clinton. I was disappointed!

At least Sullivan was adamant is his change about The Idiot Decider and had NOTHING good to say about him. Give him credit for that. He also said we CAN'T ignore Global warming anymore, it's here and we need to do something NOW!

Edited on Sat Oct-27-07 03:04 AM by Duppers
I turned to hubby at the end of one of Wes Clark's sentences and said: "OMG, he's going to run as Hillary's VP."

Then hrs. after the show, I went to the site and to ck out the 'after the show' video clip, here:

http://www.hbo.com/billmaher/

Scroll down to 'watch overtime' and listen to something Maher said.

46. I was smacked on another thread for using that term. My apology
I don't keep up w/RW lingo. I saw the term used somewhere...and I know that Bill will be more than just an isolated advisor to her, which I see as a good thing--mostly. I'm glad she disagrees with him on the issue of rendition! (Re: last debate: "I'll talk to him," following Tim Russert's remark.)

I'm not a winger; I do not frequent any RW sites, nor have I ever listened to Faux. So, I didn't know any better...how 'stupid' of me.

That said, I must include that I do NOT support Hillary's candidacy. I believe she's a corporatist. BUT, if she gets the nomination, a 'vote for Clinton' sign will certainly be in my front lawn. I voted for Bill twice.

As Andrew Sullivan and many others have pointed out, Hillary and her camp think she has the nomination locked up and she's now running a general election campaign and going for right-leaning independent votes. It's terrible that she's taking all of us lefties for granted. But it seems I'm living proof that she can. Sigh.

I support (in order): Al Gore (but he's not running), Dennis Kucinich, and John Edwards.

I hope I've clarified my position. I again apologize for my naivety.

where he was asked about Clinton's Kyl/Lieberman's vote! That was the answer that was disturbing to me about Clark. And I don't know how to get clips, so I'm not dodging here!
