I remember all of the press at the time about how old the douchebag was, and that got me curious...how old would some of the other candidates be when THEY were sworn in?

- Mike Gravel would be 78

- Ron Paul would be 73

- John McCain would be 72

- Freddie (his real name, BTW) Thompson would be 66

- Joe Biden would be 65

- Rudy Ghouliani would be 64

- Dennis Kucinich would be 62

- Willard (his real name, BTW) Romney would be 61

- Hillary Clinton would be 61

- Bill Richardson would be 60

- Al Gore would be 60

- John Edwards would be 55

- Mike Huckabee would be 53 (I thought he was much older)

- Barack Obama would be 47

I think it is pretty amazing that Obama is the only one born in the 60s.

Or not to say someone in their 60s is old but it's amazing to me how much younger the candidates were 20 years ago. Gore, Biden, Gephardt, and Jackson were still only in their 40s when they ran for president in 1988 (Gore, in fact, was 40 years old exactly).

Usually, for some strange reason, the GOP candidate is always older than the Dem candidate. 2004 was, in fact, the first election since 1968 where the opposite was true (Humphrey was almost two years older than Nixon and Kerry is almost three years older than the Chimp).
