Newsweek Advocates War with Pakistan
Check out the front cover of this week's (Oct 29) cover of Newsweek and check out the title - "The Most Dangerous Nation In The World Isn't Iraq. It's Pakistan"

http://www.newsweek.com/

So, the war in Iraq is not enough, the war in Afghanistan is not enough, the nearly inevitable war with Iran is not enough, now we should consider Pakistan?

War Mongers!!

2. You forgot Cuba.
Apparently Bush announced recently that Cuba is planning to overthrow Castro and communism. I believe that's a prelude to war?

3. What other allies in the ME can we attack next? Israel? Saudi? Turkey?
The most dangerous nation in the world isn't Iraq. Its America with Republicans in charge.

4. Sorry, I can't tell if you are being sarcastic
It's a good story actually. Direct link. http://www.newsweek.com/id/57485
It's also what a lot of good liberals have been saying for a while now.
IMO, there is no advocacy for war in the article, just good journalism.

6. Wow!!
I think that they are actually advocating for the US to send troops in-

Today no other country on earth is arguably more dangerous than Pakistan. It has everything Osama bin Laden could ask for: political instability, a trusted network of radical Islamists, an abundance of angry young anti-Western recruits, secluded training areas, access to state-of-the-art electronic technology, regular air service to the West and security services that don't always do what they're supposed to do. (Unlike in Iraq or Afghanistan, there also aren't thousands of American troops hunting down would-be terrorists.)

What like it would be a good idea to have thousands of troops there TOO?

7. Yes.
Plus, just look at the cover photograph and forget the words. What does it say to you?

8. Hell YEAH....Let's just NUKE 'em ALL! and hit No Korea as a side dish...
Sheesh... Can Newsweak get even more disgusting. BUT...maybe they are trying to point out that Pakistan poses a much greater threat than Iran and that Chimpy's toady there...is still hiding Osama for the Neo Cons who want endless war when the Ghost of OSAMA still shows his head whenever Bush/Cheney need to terrorize Congress. Who knows...? Maybe it's a good thing what Newsweak is doing. Sowing confusion in the minds of their Dentist/Doctor's office readers.

I can only hope.

Then again, they do have an article called "Cheney & Deliverance" which asks readers to question what's sane and what is insane about the actions of Cheney and Lewis.

Hmmm...

14. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...
...anything to sell a magazine.

At least I had a moment of hope.

The cover photo says it all.

The New Amerikan Way.

War = Profit.

Outsource the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines to Mercenaries - it's more profitable.

The will of the people doesn't matter.

Taxes for Bombs not Babies.

Support the troops but not the veterans.

Corporations trump government.

Torture the truth.

The President as CEO.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How did our government go so wrong?
