When I get mailings asking for money, I tell them much the same thing, and return my comments in their self addressed stamped envelope. As a lifelong Dem, it hurts me to do so, but they have failed us miserably.

I usually end with the words, "I have not abandoned my party, my party has
abandoned me."

Maybe if we hit them in the wallet they will get the message...but I'm not holding my breath.

... and I write all over it that they need to support impeachment, public campaign financing, and other issues they continue to ignore...

We should all do it. When the ratio of their postal expenses to what actually gets sent to them in donations gets too high, perhaps they will realize that something's ROTTEN in the state of Denmark (er the U.S.)!
