Candidate Bush intended to invade Iraq
For years I have been wondering, did I really hear Bush say he would invade Iraq long before he did?

http://www.iraqtimeline.com/1999.html

"October 28: Texas governor and Republican presidential candidate George W. Bush makes it clear that he intends, if elected, to prove himself the equal (or superior) of his father, former president George H.W. Bush, by being aggressive with America's military, and that he will begin that aggression in Iraq. According to author and journalist Mickey Herskowitz, Bush said in recent days, "One of the keys to being seen as a great leader is to be seen as a commander-in-chief.... My father had all this political capital built up when he drove the Iraqis out of Kuwait and he wasted it.... If I have a chance to invade, if I had that much capital, I'm not going to waste it." According to Herskowitz, "Bush expressed frustration in a lifetime as an underachiever in the shadow of an accomplished father. In aggressive military action, he saw the opportunity to emerge from his father's shadow." (GNN/OhMy News)"

There you have it then.

1. You certainly can't be just finding this out, right?
That's why the entire MSM is complicit in the crimes of this administration. They covered for him and they keep covering for him.

This shit was no secret. Not if you really wanted to know who Chimpy McSmirkster really is, what he's really about. Unfortunately, too few people did.

2. No, I knew it for years
and told everybody I knew that a vote for Bush was a vote for war. I was not clear as to the precise date also. But there was so little backing I had begun to think I was wrong. I found the website just today in a search on something else and got my confirmation.

4. I wondered. Pretty much everyone here knew this I would think. There
was very little secrecy about Chimpy's intents to best his Daddy in the killing fields of Iraq. Even if he had to invent a reason.

By the way, anyone know if Kuwait every paid any reparations for Gulf War I? Because they did damn little fighting themselves.

3. Quite right. Also see his 'Fuck Saddam, we're taking him out' quote
uttered (iirc) while still assuring U.S. citizens that he was attempting diplomacy.
