3. YOU DON'T OWN MY VOTE. |
|
You seem to think that my vote is already yours, and that I would be helping Bush by taking it AWAY from you.
Well, I got news for you: my vote has to be earned. No one gets my vote without deserving it, and if I stay home I'm NOT "helping Bush." I'm just not helping the Democrat beat him.
Using your logic, since you're nominating Kerry, and forcing me to stay home, you're helping Bush.

6. The Fact Remains, Mr. Loony |
|
Persons who will not vote for the Party's nominee in November will be providing material assistance to the criminals of the '00 Coup. No one forces you to refrain from voting for a nominee; you choose to do that, if you do. The effect of that choice, whatever a person who makes it says in justification for it, is to provide material assistance to the worst elements of reaction in our polity, in their attempt to remain in usurped office. When a person does something, knowing the consequences of the act, it can be said at the very least that avoiding those consequences is not a very high priority for that person. Thus, persons who act in a way they know will bring benefit to the worst elements of reaction in our polity have little ground on which to stand and proclaim themselves enemies of reaction, and opponents of the person they know their action will benefit. Anyone, of course, is free not to be a real opponent of reaction, but persons who choose thus really do cut a humorous figure lecturing others on not being sufficiently opposed to reaction.

a "I love Bush" option so the lurking freeps don't hijack one of the other options :P
(to post #3 - not voting (D) -DOES- help Bush. What if Bush wins by 1 vote? Not impossible, given 2000. If you had voted against him, in this hypothetic situation, he would have lost.)
