Why these paroxysms of hatred towards Democratic candidates?
Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 10:42 PM by WillyBrandt
This has happened all throughout the primary season. If I remember and observe:

- Dean: A faux-liberal crackpot lily-white centrist who appeals to the pierced nipple crew, despite coming from a rural state and working for both gay rights and a balanced budget
- Clark: A PNAC drone who mentioned the Homestead Act in a speech who appeals to the mindless militarists among us
- Edwards: A slippery ambulance chaser who doesn't know nothing about nothing, and is simply lacks the constitution to put up a decent fight
- Kerry: A human piece of Jello, who despite his wartime heroism, post war activism and many accomplishments in public life, is utterly devoid of principle, and has a right-wing record when you exclude the liberal parts of it. He is also a Stonecutter, and keeps Atlantis off the maps.

Also, no candidate except X has true grassroots support.

Oh--and this is my favorite of empty inanities--candidate X's support is "wide but shallow." (Whatever the fuck that means, however the fuck that statement could be possibly verified.) I've heard that X be Dean, Clark, Edwards, and Kerry.

This all such crap. All of the above are OK. You people are nuts.

1. I noticed Kerry was the only one you included nice things about in those
typical characterizations. For instance, with Dean, if you had given him the same treatment, you would have included "despite being an extradordinary governor who has a long and significant track record of achievement".

Just so we're clear.

6. Yes, but your pro-Kerry now, aren't you?
Unless I'm mistaken? And you edited it, good for you.

Anyways, can I borrow some money? :)

7. I am pro-Kerry now, but I didn't puff Clark up despite earlier support

I was just trying to make fun of the critics.

As for money, I once had $500, but I no longer have it :)

5. Stonecutters!
"Who made Steve Guttenberg a star? We do! We do!"

Can't believe I hadn't thought of that one myself.

10. And what about the Oscars?
Who controls the British crown?
Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who leaves Atlantis off the maps?
Who keeps the martians under wraps?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car?
Who makes Steve Guttenberg a star?
We do! We do!
Who robs the cave fish of their sight?
Who rigs every Oscars night?
We do! We do!

11. All your statements are fairly put, but
I hate the war. I hate the war with every fiber of my being. I hate the war more than I hate 9/11. Candidates who continue to applaud it drive me to paroxysms of hatred.

I just can't help it.

I want a candidate I can vote for.
