Well, jeez, who is this Deanie going to vote for?
I'm scratching my head, baffled. I'm thinking of pleasing my old commie heart and voting Kucinich in the primaries and for our esteemed nominee in the general. At the rate things are going, that looks to be Kerry, which is OK by me.

Just be thankful John Breaux isn't running.

2. Which state are you in, when it votes?
If it's a late state, or a very progressive state, please still consider voting for Dean.

3. OK, but could you explain to me
what happens when you vote for Dean even though he's withdrawn from the race? It's not obvious to me.

5. Our message& presence will be felt in Boston.
Dean was the Rebellion wing of the Democratic Party this year.

Therefore, if you're not satified with the performance of the Democratic leadership for the past several years, your voice and platform will be represented in Boston.

I think, before Baw-sten, Deaners should have a convention of their own to choose a message to the Dem Leadership.

Dean-vention 2004!

6. You vote for delegates who would have voted for Dean at the convention
and who are therefore more likely to represent you better at the convention (on votes on platform planks, for example) than those supporting other nominees. It would be good to have a strong Dean presence at this particular convention.

7. Dean has not released his delegates, the more delegates we add, the better
for our voices to be heard at the Boston Convention.

8. The same thing as a vote for any other candidate.
Dean did not actually withdraw; in fact he has encouraged his supported to vote for him and use the grassroots to encourage others to do so (TruthAndHope will even be running radio ads). Dean is just not campaigning. So a vote for him has exactly the same legal meaning as the vote for any other candidate. And if he gets more than 15% of those in a congressional district, he gets delegates that go to convention. If he gets less... well, then you're just sending a message. Now, the 15% thing is pretty unlikely unless you're in a very liberal area... or unless the race is decided by the time you get to vote, in which case very few people will show up to vote, and votes by dedicate Dean supporters may form a significant %%% of the vote. Now, if you're one of the folks who preferred Kucinich, but thought Dean had a better chance, it probably does make more sense to vote for DK now. And of course, your vote may matter more if you pick the favorite between Edwards and Kerry if your state is still in play.... This is entirely your choice, which is why primaries are great.. One can decide between voting strategically, voting ones heart, or perhaps be fortunate enough to do both

10. Why not vote for Dean in the primary?
Let the Party know that it was the message, not the man. Send the message...vote for Dean.

(in the GE, vote for the Dem candidate)

11. I like them both equally forra
Kerry and Kucinich that is, that may shock some people in both camps, but its true. I would go with your heart, I would be voting Kucinich but i am too young.

12. Good choice.
That's my plan! Although I won't call the nominee yet. Still many votes to be cast.
