Barack Obama ... a statesman and the face this country needs to repair our image abroad |
|
He is intelligent, worldly and articulate. He would clearly demonstrate that the United States is serious about negotiating with other nations and would take a reasonable, rationale and well thought out approach to the problems facing the world .. the war in iraq that needs to come to an end, diplomatic efforts with Iran & Syria and brokering a peace between Isreal and the Palestinian territories as well as in Sudan.
There will be no "game playing" with Obama. While both thoughtful and intellectual, I believe he will also be tough when necessary and decisive.
After a lot of soul searching I've made my choice as the candidate I will support in the primary election in my state. Unfortunately, due to the Michigan Democratic Party's decision to move the primary date forward, I won't have the opportunity to vote for my candidate. Michigan may also lose their delegates to the nominating convention because of what I consider to be a stupid move that has done nothing more than disenfranchise the voters in this state...
It will be write in only for me.

2. While I have nothing against Obama |

while looking at him at the debate, I couldn't get over how young he looks. Does he look too young to become President, that's my worry. Most people want some one who looks mature and able to handle the job to be President. Now, truthfully, he's not my candidate, but that doesn't mean that I don't take the debates seriously. At various points during the debate, he didn't look much older than a teenager, which is great when in every day life, but I don't know about Presidential role.
I don't dislike him, but he may need to wait until he at least looks 35. Yeah, I know nit picking, but I want to win in the general.
