Which candidate made these statements?
"Too many of our leaders have made a devil's bargain with corporate and wealthy interests, saying 'I'll keep you in power if you keep me in power.'"

"As long as half the world's population subsists on less than two dollars a day, the US will not be secure.... A world populated by 'hostile have-nots' is not one in which US leadership can be sustained without coercion."

"Over the last thirty years, we have allowed multinational corporations and other special interests to use our nation's government to undermine our nation's promise."

The best one:
"There is something about human beings that corporations can't deal with and that's our soul, our spirituality, who we are. We need to find a way in this country to understand--and to help each other understand--that there is a tremendous price to be paid for the supposed efficiency of big corporations. The price is losing the sense of who we are as human beings."

"In our nation, the people are sovereign, not the government. It is the people, not the media or the financial system or mega-corporations or the two political parties, who have the power to create change."

7. Dean said them-
and these quotes are exactly why I strongly believe he needs to join forces with Kucinich. The quotes above could easily have come from Dennis Kucinich and the friction between Dean and Kucinich camps keeps us from uniting for real change now when we need it most.

I honestly never heard him speak quite that way (not that I didn't love nearly everything he said).

13. I'm sorry!
I heard the one about the corporations and our human spirit and that was one of the statements that made me stop and take a step back from my resentments against Dean. I figured anyone who could sound that much like Kucinich even while they were at odds couldn't be all bad. 'Sides, he's not gone, just taking a break to regroup and revise his strategy. Help him out and tell him to get with DK for a pow-wow!

16. You're right, NYfM! Who cares what John Kerry has SAID...
... about the prosecution of the invasion of Iraq and subsequent occupation, because what he DID was to vote for the IWR and give the President full authority to invade.

NOTE: I'm just trying to get you to apply the same standards to your candidate as you are apparently applying to others. Even though I'm well aware that moral equivalence isn't exactly in vogue these days....

20. No, he is not an ex-candidate!
He is not campaigning, but he has not withdrawn! I will vote for him this March 2nd. I will vote for the nominee this fall! Don't take away my right to vote for the candidate of my choice in this primary, even if you and others think it is a waste. I have to vote my beliefs, now, since I won't be able to, come November!

19. People fear government you have tyranny...Dean understood this!
"When the people fear the government you have tyranny; when the government fears the people you have liberty."
-- Thomas Jefferson

This is what Dean was trying to bring back to America. For the government and the powers that be, to fear the people and their power. Then and only then will we have liberty! Well, they used everything they had to make sure that we still have tyranny! Dean received almost all of his money from the people, not corporations and even though he only received 49% favorable reporting compared to 78% favorable reporting for all the other Democratic candidates, he was leading by over 20 points. Until they got scared! He was brought down by the media, by the DNC and by those people who like things to remain the same. No power to the people!

The media which was following Dean gave him a T-Shirt which stated
on the front: "ESTABLISHMENT MEDIA" and
on the back: "WE HAVE THE POWER!"

instead of to Bermuda? The gov who had secret meetings with energy companies, like Cheney did? THAT candidate?

They're all just politicians. Get real. Not one of them is Moses.
