1. This is interesting.... |
|
is there any true liberal for whom Kucinich's positions aren't their true conscience??
I say that as a firm ABB supporter with a slight preference for Edwards, but who will happily donate 20 hours a week for Kerry or whoever the nominee is from now until November.
In a perfect world, Kucinich's platform would surely be the law of the land. Or am I missing something??

5. My state's primary is in June. |
|
If he's still in the race in June, I'll consider it very strongly.
If it's still a two-man race between Kerry and Edwards, I will have to go for pragmatism and vote for Edwards.
If it's basically decided that Kerry is our nominee, I'll have the luxury of voting my conscience.
I wish I wasn't so damn pragmatic...but I am.

6. Not for me. Yes, Kucinich is the most liberal candidate. |
|
However, I DON'T believe we can (or should) quickly withdraw from Iraq. We have an obligation to preserve the shred of stability that's left until they can govern themselves and I don't think Kucinich's timeline is realistic.
I DON'T believe in a "Department of Peace". Change the tone of foreign relations if you like, but I don't want to see yet another useless Cabinet-level department.
The list goes on. I'm a Democrat, I'm just not as liberal as Kucinich.

2. I just got home from voting for Dennis in REAL LIFE. (You can vote early |
|
in California.) So I had the pleasure of voting for him twice in the last hour - once for real, and once again in your poll.

Most have interpreted the poll as "Which candidate do you REALLY like?", and that is probably what it should have been titled, since it includes several candidates who have dropped out, including my favorite, CMB.
While it might make me feel good to vote for her, that wouldn't be "voting my conscience". Neither would voting for Kucinich or anyone else who cannot win the election.
I don't want to have 4 (or possibly 100) more years of BFEE rule on my conscience!
