but in response to the origninal post and NOT the poster, I agree with some of your anger and your points are well taken however we live in a real world and I'm sure that there were many moderate Repukes that did not want * as the nominee but as a party they closed rank and got behind the "candidate". Change is slow, but a first step in always neccessary, Kerry instead of * is a first step and if we here at DU can keep the momentum going with hope after we win back the WH we have a chance to see major change. I came to DU because I was angry at the 2000 decision and had no place to vent, when we win the WH back will we all stay at DU and try to continue to effect change. The Dean and the Clark movement changed fundamental politics and can continue to do so, however we must close rank and beat the Repukes at their own game so that we can get into the game, then we have at least a shot at changing the agenda. There never seems to be the right time for "a third party" so that we can send a message, but "sometimes" are worst than others and I think right now is one of those times. I hope you got it off your chest and I hope the mods don't lock this thread.
