Again, why the freepers WON'T talk about Kerry's Bronze Star!
I had posted something similiar, earlier this week, but seeing a freeper-type on another forum, saying how had only been in Vietnam for 4 months, and how "he had his Bronze star upgraded to Silver."

Folks, this is how desperate they are. Odds are, this man is going to be our guy, and the momentum is in our favor. They've resorted to outright lies about his service.

http://www.boston.com/globe/nation/packages/kerry/061603.shtml

From the article, regarding his Bronze Star...

"...couple of weeks later, on March 13, 1969, a mine detonated near Kerry's boat, wounding Kerry in the right arm, according to the citation written by Zumwalt. Guerrillas started firing on the boats from the shoreline. Kerry then realized that he had lost overboard a Green Beret who is identified only as "Rassman."

"The man was receiving sniper fire from both banks," according to Kerry's Bronze Star citation from that day. "Lt. Kerry directed his gunners to provide suppressing fire, while from an exposed position on the bow, his arm bleeding and in pain, with disregard for his personal safety, he pulled the man aboard. Lt. Kerry then directed his boat to return and assist the other damaged craft and towed the boat to safety. Lt. Kerry's calmness, professionalism and great personal courage under fire were in keeping with the highest traditions of the US Naval Service," Zumwalt's citation said."

THIS, is missing from not only the vietnamvetsagainstkerry site, but from every account the right has, regarding his service in Vietnam.

Their BS MUST be countered! Get to work folks!

5. Vietnam Vets are used to all sorts of slander.
The first Vietnam veteran president in history will put these slanders to rest for good, and elevate these men and women for their herioc service in that senseless war.
