Today John King (CNN) said about Hillary's lead in NV... |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-14-07 11:03 PM by jenmito
"Hillary Clinton leads here right now for one reason-Harry Reid's son is helping her out." Wasn't there some talk about Reid calling the Kyl-Lieberman vote when he knew Obama wouldn't be able to get back for the vote? This statement seems to lend credence to that.

1. And you so believe that just because John King says it, that makes it so? |
|
His statement is an insult to Sen. Clinton AND the people of Nevada. It's as if he's saying that the Democrats of Nevada aren't supporting Sen. Clinton because of her policy positions. They're only supporting her b/c of Reid's son.
That's insulting.

8. Sorry, Jenmito, but ... |
|
"I believe he knows more about it than you or I do. He has connections as a reporter."
Considering the state of the MSM these days, (a) calling John King or anyone else of his ilk a reporter is a bit of a stretch, and (b) the only connection that's important to him or any other "reporter" is the connection between what they've been told to say by their corporate owners and the expected paycheck for having said it.

10. Reid's son is Hillary NV co-chair. And yes there was a pathetic rumor started by Obama supporters. |
|
"This statement seems to lend credence to that"
No. That statement is lending credence to Harry' Reid's son doing a good job for Hillary in NV as her co-chair.
This conspiracy theory on Reid giving Hillary political cover slays me. Why would Harry Reid after holding off on the vote once not hold off until after the debate that evening? Why would he basically invite the other candidates to openly bash Hillary with a fresh vote (you don't get fresher than that afternoon)?
Obama never planned to be at that vote. He went to ME the evening of the Senate debate (the one that ended late) and decided to stay in NH for the Primary debate the next day. First order of biz that morning Harry Reid stated the vote would happen. The actual voting started at 12:45pm.
Obama just didn't think Hillary would vote for it.

11. Got proof that it was "a pathetic rumor started by Obama supporters"? |
|
Obama put out a statement saying how he was against it.
I'm sure you're right when you say Obama just didn't think Hillary would vote for it. What Dem. in their right mind WOULD vote for it? Oh, wait, she IS in her "right" mind. Right Wing General Election mind...

13. I know Obama was against it. He just didn't vote on it. |

What I am saying is the theory of Reid sandbagging Obama on the vote to give Hillary political cover only to hold the vote the afternoon before the debate is ridiculous on its face.

I'm just reporting what John King said. And now that she flip-flopped again on the drivers' license issue, let's see how that support holds up.

like the few anti-gay bigots in S.C. will make a difference. If they want to vote for Obama who has a terrific record on gay rights, good for them! And you're right-Latinos aren't stupid. They know someone who will say whatever it takes to get elected when they see her.
