Can Edwards win Georgia, New York, or Ohio? |
|
2/16/2004 GA: Kerry 50% Edwards 19% Sharpton 12% Dean 10% Other 5% Undecided 5%
Data Collected 2/13/04 - 2/15/04 Sample Population 513 Certain Voters Margin of Error 4.4% http://www.surveyusa.com/currentelectionpolls.html
2/20/2004 NY: Kerry 66% Edwards 14% Sharpton 7% Kucinich 3% Undecided 10%
Data Collected 2/17/04 - 2/19/04 Sample Population 404 Certain Voters Margin of Error 5% http://www.maristpoll.marist.edu/nyspolls/pz040220.htm
Ohio: Kerry way ahead, but the poll is too old to take seriously: http://www.ipr.uc.edu/PDF/OhioPoll/2004_Prez_041304_Final.pdf
Weren't these the three states Edwards says he needs to win? What's his plan to turn things around?

2. The Georgia poll is awfully outdated. |
|
It's pre-Wisconsin. The others do worry me though, I guess.

He could win, but it looks like that's only gonna happen in some bizarro, upside-down world.

6. NO. he did well in Wisc because repubs crossed over |
|
I like Edwards but he is not going to win another state. For some reason the repubs in Wisc. thought that extending the dem race helps their cause so they voted for Edwards. Actually, I think it helps our cause because it keeps the attention on our nomination.
The big question who is the VP. Would Edwards help win more states than anyone else? I'm not so sure.

9. I'm going to see Edwards tomorrow afternoon |

in Youngstown, OH. On March 1st (night before super Tues) we've got Dennis K at a Rock the Vote event...
I think he needs Geogria and ONE other biggie to stay in play...

11. Georgia and Ohio seem like |
|
the Super Tuesday states where he would have the best chance. How big a factor is the Lewis endorsement?
