Free advice to our party - FDR's 4 Freedoms (Hey! Edwards! Read this!)

Never have the concepts of this great man who brought us the New Deal seemed so relevant - and particularly his concept of the 4 Universal Freedoms

Freedom of Speech and Expression
Freedom from Want
Freedom to Worship in your own way according to the dictates of your conscience
Freedom from Fear

I see Edwards as a new populist who at times reminds me of FDR. Instead of 2 Americas, I think he could get the same message across by picking up and re-invigorating FDR's concept of the 4 Freedoms that UNITE all Americans (and the world)

This is a particularly Democratic message, since the Republicans like to stifle dissent and discussion or to control it in bizarre fashions (fake news conferences, loyalty oaths, Rovian spins from alternate universes, etc.) Republicans have CREATED want with their Me First philosophy and their Benedict Arnold CEO's who close factories and ship off jobs while they empty the cookie jar for themselves. Republicans also seek to INCREASE fear and rule through it. Republicans have also increased WANT through their insidious economic policies that are ALWAYS tilted for the benefit of the Haves and Have More's (Bush's base).

Just a thought.
