He's just like the rest of them. Owns stocks in Cisco Systems, a company that exports jobs to India. He's a millionaire.

15. Nadar ,wont be a spoiler this time !
Apprently even those that backed Nadar last time for the most part ,are smarter then he is. They realize whats at stake here and want bush out as bad as the rest of us .Nadar has lost touch with reality and has become a legend in his own mind. Now his true colors are showing. If he really cared about what was best for this country he would sit this one out =IDIOT

17. Bullshit
We need every single vote this year to stop GWB's pro-Armageddon agenda.

Do they no longer teach the Electoral College in our schools? We don't live in a parliamentary system.

18. You know what...
I am actually glad he is after listening to him. He will really confront dumbya instead of being concerned with political expedience. And he does say the right things, the things that Dems SHOULD be saying. One of our candidates should have approached him about the VP slot long before he made this MTP interview. I was mad at him from 2000, but the things he says still make the most sense to me. He even mentioned the WPA style public plan. And while this may irk people, he is a better candidate than Kerry IMHO.

19. Yes, he speaks the easy platitudes
of someone who has never had to govern. His generally positive mumbo jumbo will garner just enough votes to ensure that we get four more years of GWB.

20. Nader is running for Press
not for President.
He is selling himself, not a message.

Treat him like a commercial, not a crusader and we won't have to worry about the 3% draw from the Democratic Nominee.

29. I still believe in the voters!
At least the media does keep pointing out that Nader was the 2000 spoiler, no matter how much Ralph denies it. That will keep that memory in the minds of all the people who are unhappy with GWB. I don't think he will get any Rep. comverts, but I still believe in the voters (as long as they are constantly reminded). They hate the shrib much more than they idolize Nader.

22. I am not saying I will vote for him...
but he needs to be given a high level post in the next administration. His years of public service far outweigh his stock choices, and he will really point out the failures of this administration and motivate people to gotv. I also believe based on what he said that he will drop out when it is clear to him that he will not win and endorse the DEM.

23. damn shame
I used to be a monster Ralph Nader fan. I was the groupie in the front row at his speeches. Cheered him at rallies against nuclear power. Had his photo on my dorm-room bulletin board.

He's done so much good for consumer's rights ... has been a champion for so many progressive issues.

And now he does this. After all the good he's done, his name will now be synonymous with TRAITOR. TRAITOR to the cause.

I have so few people I can believe in anymore. When my idol fell in 2000, it truly hurt my heart. But the scars have healed. Ralph can't hurt me anymore. Now, he can only hurt OUR COUNTRY by helping leave us with four more years of George Bush. Which will RUIN this country.

Ralph, your legacy could have been marvelous. Now, it's just ca-ca.

25. I would have voted for Nader in 2000 but
Missouri was too close and I believe it was the correct decision. I voted for Gore. In 2004 I will not even consider voting for Nader. Justices Stevens is 84 and doesn´t go duck hunting with Cheney. :kick:

27. Sigh... is there anybody who can see Nader is not the only problem?!
Nader hasn't the charisma needed to become the president of the McKinley Elementary School's glee club, yet alone the POTUS.

While the Green party is a concern, only the die-hard Greens will vote for that k00k this time around. Maybe that's 2 or 3% of the nation by now (not the comparatively whopping 6% that there was in 2000 or 3% that there was in 2002), unless the Greens decided to only vote in Presidential elections - which is unlikely, given their goals and ideals...

We need to be doubly concerned about the "Nobody But ___" folk (aka NB_'ers) who will write-in vote their candidate instead of sticking with party solidarity. If everybody thinks Nader is a problem, we need to spend twice the time on the NB_'ers. I think there's a big chunk of disgruntled Dean fans out there, along with the Clark fans, Kucinich fans (who, judging by the polls, and remember I am a big Kucinich fan, are utterly irrelevant), and so on. I think the NBD'ers and NBC'ers are going to be MORE of a threat unless Kerry can convince them to vote for him. It's as simple as that.

So why am I seeing NOTHING addressing the NB_ folk? It's Nader this and Nader that. People are truly naive if they're going to put all the rotten eggs into Nader's basket because Nader isn't the only problem. Nader can not be the judas goat to take the blame for the rabid NB_ folk.

And instead of bashing the Greens, why not try to convince them that it's the Dem candidate who should be elected? While some won't be swayed, others will - unless we all stomp and urinate on them, in which case they'll vote against us out of spite. It's silly that people vote out of crass emotion, but people will do that. Just like in 2002 after Wellstone's murder and Rick Khan opening his bit fat mouth to piss off enough swing voters to vote repuke IN SPITE.

28. this is all about Ralph Nader's
EGO. He is an opportunist. Where has he been and why hasn't he been speaking up for job loss, outsourcing, healthcare, medicare. All he talks about is the big corporations lobbyng for the Republicans and Democrats...well, why doesn't he just donate all those millions he has to those without jobs and healthcare if he wants to help a cause without big money.

He makes me :puke:
