I saw somewhere that the White House backpedaled and admitted

that Bush did not tell the truth about WHEN he said he found out about the NIE report, and claimed that it had just been a few days. I saw that they were unable to support his lie because there was a record of him having talked about it before in some meetings.
I need that info - can't find it - and am beginning to think I made it up. Does anyone know?

When I read your opening post, I thought you were probably talking about the Olmert meeting, but I guess that wasn't it exactly.

The whole idea that the President had no idea about the information in the NIE until its final release is preposterous. I like John Cole's take on it:

Shorter George Bush- “I have no clue what the fuck is going on.”

And that doesn’t appear to be an accident...
