Nader wants to help? Why not throw your weight around for Kucinich? |
|
Seems logical to me, the best thing Ralph could have done is to throw all the free press he's getting out there for Kucinich.

6. I don't think Nader is a stealth Repub. |
|
Honestly, the man does have a few good ideas up his sleeve. His problem is his ego and unwillingness to compromise. Dennis Kucinich would be a good compromise for him.

3. Nader should blackmail Dems to take Kucinich as VP |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 01:57 PM by cryofan
He could take a bunch of money from the GOP and Freepers, then show up at the convention and promise to take a dive/not run, but only if Kucinich gets the VP nod.
Now THAT is Old Skool politics. They still play that game over in Europe, and that is one reason why most of the EU has a higher standard of living than most of the USA.

I'd like to hear Kucinich confront Nader on this- and he should.

5. Nader would never do that. |
|
He has proven by his announcement today that he still believes there is no difference between the way the world is now v. the way it would have been had Gore won. Recall he argued there would be no difference whether Bush or Gore had won.
This man's ego will not allow him to support anyone except himself and this comes from a sadder but wiser former Nader supporter! I've learned a lot about him in the intervening 8 years and none of it is helpful to our country.

8. Nader: "But, but.... Kucinich doesn't have a chance winning" |
|
I'd love (I'm dying actually) to hear Nader confronted with this question.

9. Good question! Someone should try to get Ralph to answer it. |
|
I'm angry that the media marginalized Dennis Kucinich but also calm enough to realize that the voters, particularly in Iowa and New Hampshire, had the opportunity to see and hear Dennis and all the other Dems but chose Kerry as our best hope of getting Bush out of the White House in 2004. They may be right to think that -- and I certainly want Bush out in 2004.
I'm going to do my bit for democracy by voting Kucinich on Super Tuesday and the Democratic nominee in November.
2004 is too important to risk on a write-in or third party vote. We do have to live here afterwards.
