How to stop Nader
From Dan Conley's Journal

Stop The Beast
The one who took the number 666, also known as Ralph Nader, is gearing up for another "Elect Bush" campaign ... one sure to draw heavy donations and independent expenditure support from Republicans, just like his 2000 effort.

It's time we geared up for a massive anti-Nader campaign. He must:

1) Protest Nader everywhere he goes. Our goal must be to outnumber Nader supporters at every rally.

2) Expose his contributors. In 2000, the Democratic Party didn't do enough to point out the massive contributions that flooded his way from Republicans. We need to look through his FEC reports with a fine toothed comb this time to point out who is giving Ralph his money.

3) Demand equal time for any right-leaning independent candidates (such as Right to Life Party candidates) whenever Nader receives news coverage.

4) Let family members know that they will be disowned if they vote Nader (I have a nephew to talk to soon.)

5) Flood liberal talk radio and other places where progressive gather (including anti-globalization events) with advocates for the Democratic ticket in 2004.

Getting 0.0039% of the vote?

There are bigger issues than that moron.

Meanwhile, back in reality....

6. Nader got NINETY FIVE THOUSAND votes in Florida in 2000
Let the Nader smear begin. We must demoralize him so much that he leave the country. He can go to Singapore and work in one of the factories his friend G. W. Bush has sent overseas.

7. You Want To Get Serious? Let's Get Serious.
Bush is a threat to me, my wife and my kids.

Ralph is helping Bush.

Ralph is a threat to me, my wife and my kids.

Serious enough for me.

4. No... we should ignore him...
To protest him is to draw attention to him. People are always making this mistake.

Those who are against the Mel Gibson movie should have kept their traps shut, and it would have drawn next to NOBODY to the theaters to see it. All the protesting has brought attention to it and now it is going to be a blockbuster.

The Religious Right makes this mistake every time they go off on some movie or TV show or Rap album. They generate MORE buzz for it and make it artificially more popular.

If you have huge demonstrations to protest Nader, you are accomplishing two things, both of them negative:

1. You are spending your valuable time doing that instead of spending it at pro-Democratic rallies.
2. You are bringing media attention to a man who would otherwise not have any.

Every time you call a talk show to talk about Nader, you are keeping his name alive and keeping him as the topic of discussion.

Generating "buzz" for Nader is the worst thing we can do.

You're doing EXACTLY what Nader wants you to do. Spend your protest time at a Bush rally, not at a Nader rally.

Nader craves attention more than anything in the world. He's the biggest egomaniac around. Deny him that craving. Ignore him.

So that I can take some of my own advice, this is the last post I am going to make on the subject. ;-)
