I'm not going to worry too much about Nader. |
|
I don't believe he is in this for the long run. I think he wants to get his message out which he will not be able to do without media coverage and running for prez will certainly get the coverage. It will also keep pressure on the dems when a platform is worked out. Over time I think he will pull out and support the dem nominee. I can't believe that he would risk 4 more years of "*". Even he has to recognise the seriousness of the situation.
Hell, even if he doesn't pull out I don't think he would draw much support.

Since he certainly doesn't have the grassroots support (Green Party) he did in 2000 to get on the ballot. And you can't be a candidate if you don't get on the ballot.

4. All 2000 Nader supporters I know are voting Dem in 2004... |
|
and that includes myself. As the Chimp himself said, "Fool me once, shame on ...you. Fool me, don't get fooled again!"

5. Yeah, I voted for Nader last time around. |
|
Strictly a protest vote because I was so disgusted with the corporate influence. I live in CT and the race between the dems and repugs wasn't going to be close. If it were a close race I would have voted for Gore. Won't make that mistake again.

I agree. I don't think he hurts our guy all that much if he stays in anyway. I have a friend who voyed for Nader last time who will vote Dem this time. I think there are a lot of people out there like that.

8. Good post Oz, Nice to see someone thinking instead of just panicking |
|
Let's face it, if $Hrub is gonna steal the election again then Nader's candidacy is a moot point anyway. (Though it does make for a great scapegoat and keeps dem from focuing on the real villains like Diebold, Baker, Harris, and the Scotus. :eyes: )
