13. Regret is a part of life. |
|
But keep it a small one.
You have nothing to be ashamed of; you did what you thought was right at the time. People thought the same for Reagan's proven-horrific policies and ditto for NAFTA et al...

5. oh, we ought to load a tranq gun and shoot valium into ever DUer |
|
that thinks that Nader is going to throw the election to Bush, which is wrong because Nader can't get on all 50 ballots, and probably will be on ballots in heavily Dem states, so the Nader votes won't matter if the heavy turnout for Dems keep going on.

15. Well, as you know, Slink |
|
Certain actions by the DNC/DLC and certain other actions by the current frontrunner and his "pals" may end up depressing Dem turnout some.

9. that was a good post you made about how Kerry supporters |
|
who freak about Nader are only lending credence to Nader's run, and therefore weakening themselves in the eyes of the undecided voters.

that wasn't the entire meaning of my message....
BUT...I think that many Kerry supporters are being conflicted by two things:
1) A great feeling of relief and gratification that their horse appears to be winning the first heat in the race for the White House.
2) A remnant of feelings of insecurity and persecution from when their candidate was apparently toast, fading, and outshone by Dean and/or Clark.
I understand BOTH...
BUT...I think that Kerry supporters, who are now the prime advocates for the man who will apparently represent the Democratic Party in the 2004 elections, need to take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy the fact that their guy is apparently winning by acclamation....
Stop with the persecution complex, stop with the responding to all comments and questions as threats, and above all, stop freaking out about Nader.
I, personally, would welcome questions from that end of the spectrum, and USE those questions as a means of showing exactly how liberal and/or progressive Kerry is and can be.
Defuse the criticism with open arms and a warm smile...and watch the hard core recoil in surprise and the waverers run to your camp with grins of relief....

Was it DK or Clark responsible for sabotaging Dean? I now hear both theories floating around, and since this forum is chock full o' reliable sources...
I am stumped. Oh yeah, and the media... them too! :grr:
But PLEASE don't tell me some bullshit like it was the voters who didn't like Dean. :tinfoilhat:
