2. Alaskan Recall Effort Against Republican Gov. Murkowski!

Actually, Lisa is not included, although Loren Leman has been targeted by "Alaskans to Recall Murkowski", too.

Since Lt. Gov. Leman also has the power to approve (or deny) recalls, this could be very interesting. Needless to say, "Alaskans to Recall Murkowski" has an expert public interest attorney in its ranks.

(Republican) Lisa runs against (Democrat) ex-Governor Tony Knowles in this upcoming 2004 election. One of the factors that weigh heavily in the recall campaign is the fact that the Republican majority Legislators changed the law, to enable Murkowski to appoint his daughter. An initiative group "Democracy, Not Dynasty" gathered over 50,000 signatures (a state record), to have this questionable practice reversed to restore the ability of the people to replace vacated seats in the US Senate. However, now the Republican majority are in the process of restoring the original law (they've already accomplished their dirty dead!), so that Lisa doesn't face this issue during her election campaign.

The initiative has a similar effect of reminding the people of the dirty politics involved with the current Republican "Leadership". If they can survive they have the real opportunity to influence the upcoming election, which could determine the balance of power in the US Senate!!!
