Politics Is a Contact Sport Right Now |
|
Just a word to the wise.
If you're here looking for honest-to-goodness discussion about various candidates on DU - ain't gonna happen. Go to the individual candidate forums if you don't have the skin for it.
There are too many people posting, right now, who have not only their hearts, but also their wallets, and/or their time going door-to-door trying to make sure their candidate comes out on top.
If all you have invested is your heart, try not to take it personally when one of these people slams your guy / gal with a thread about the evils of said candidate.
My experience in 2003-2004 was the worst of them ended up getting tomb-stoned, anyway, after the primaries were over.

4. Politics has ALWAYS been a contact sport |
|
That is my point. It is more obvious now, yes, but I think that now really is no different than, say, Chicago politics in the 50s and 60s.

Politics, like football, is a collision sport.
