John Kerry is gonna kick bush*s arse back to Crawford! |
|
Wes Clark knows it and that's why he's on the campaign trail for Kerry. *'s fascist effort to insert laws regarding one's marriage partner into the Constitution, plus his Education Czar calling the NEA a bunch of terrorists, are the latest nail on Smirk's political coffin.
GOOOO KERRY!!!! GOOOO CLARK!!! :kick: *'s Repuke arse real good! :D

3. What's funny is that the Crawford ranch is a prop. |
|
He's not even from there; it was bought in 1999 for him (paid for by a right-wing church group) so that he would have a picturesque photo-op locale. Everything about Bush is a fraud. Nobody who actually hails from Crawford would spend summer vacation time there "clearing brush."

5. It was Educ. Sec. Rod Paige who called the NEA a terrorist organization |
|
Edited on Tue Feb-24-04 08:49 PM by gristy
And you're right. Bush is going down so big time. Union asks Bush to fire Paige for 'terrorist' remark. By Ben Feller Associated Press
WASHINGTON - The National Education Association asked President Bush on Tuesday to fire Education Secretary Rod Paige for calling the union a "terrorist organization."
The White House said Paige's job was safe.
Paige, who made his comment in a private meeting with governors Monday, later apologized for his choice of words but maintained the union uses "obstructionist scare tactics" in its fight over the nation's education law.
Reg Weaver, president of the union of 2.7 million teachers and other school workers, said Tuesday that those members deserve more than "unfair labels and mean-spirited apologies."http://www.heraldnet.com/Stories/04/2/24/18237173.cfm

I think we'd win if the election were held today. I"m worried about the 9 month time lag birthing another baby Bush.

Honestly, I didn't believed it possible until the last month or two. Then, suddenly everything changed in my perspective. Maybe it was the huge turn-outs in the Dem primaries/caucuses, where the bottom line for voters was getting that SOB * OUT. Also, it's Kerry's soaring numbers amongst the other Dem candidates. That's not the mark of somebody who is going to be an easy mark for the BFEE. Kerry is going to WIN the presidency! I just know it! :kick:

15. Kerry voted against DOMA. |
|
We don't need to parade our candidates in front of every interest group; the Republicans don't make Bush go in front of the NRA and hold up an AK-47.
I'm confident Kerry will make good decisions when it comes to appointing judges, where the change with respect to civil issues is enacted.

16. I think he supports civil unions. What's the difference ? |
|
The term 'marriage' is irrelevant. Heck, my first husband and I got hitched by a Justice of the Peace, not a priest, minister, rabbi, etc. I think Kerry's coming from the position of legality, NOT religion. People having civil unions share all the privileges and responsibilities of 'married' couples, whether or not their union took place in a church, synogogue, or mosque. Hence they are the same as all other 'married' couples in the eyes of the law.

21. This is an issue raised by Rove at this particular time to firm up Bush's |
|
right wing, Christian conservative base. Kerry sees it for what it is, and will insist on debating "bread and butter' issues.
There was no intent on my part to imply that Edwards would do otherwise. I'm pro-Kerry but ABB.

24. It won't be on those issues |
|
Democrats win, as the previous poster said, on "bread and butter" issues.
This other stuff is intended to divert the debate to social issues to energize the repub base. The more we play defense on these issues, the more the voters get distracted.
These are the sort of things which can be dealt with if we win. If we lose, a lot of important issues lose, too.
