CLARK supporters...which candidate are you now supporting? |
|
Joe Trippi said on Hardball that Clark supporters were going to Edwards! Is that a fact? I thought most Clark supporters were going with Kerry. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But, I think a lot about DK.
Edit: I still plan to vote Clark in my primary as well if it's possible. If not, I might vote DK unless, like Jim noted below, it's close. HAHAHAHA. Sorry, just had to laugh at myself. My primary in May 18 - like it will matter by then.

I am going from one candidate who appealed to my heart and my intellect to the last standing guy with the same appeal.
My next choice would be Kerry, because I do believe, as president, he will find the same courage he had when he was such an effective voice against the Vietnam war.

4. I wouldn't put too much faith in Joe Trippi's opinion. |
|
And DU isn't representative of voters at large.
That being said, I'm undecided but leaning Kerry, in part because I think his military background trumps Bush's false military BS. If the media and the Bush Administration manage to focus this election primary about national security, Kerry is the better candidate.

11. Kerry, because I'm thinking a vote for Kerry is going to wind up being |

a vote for Clark too. Also, like the others here, I trust the General's judgment implicitly.
Besides, I'm not liking Edwards as much as I used to, and my opposition can be summed up in two words:
Hugh Shelton.
'Nough said.

His voice is too powerful, and he says the things that need to be said... I realize the mainstream doesn't want to take him seriously, but he has a lot of heart and a lot of passion, and I'd miss him if he were gone.

24. I Will Write In "Wesley K Clark" |
|
Dean was my #2, and probably Kucinich or Mosley Braun after that. Kerry puts me to sleep and Edwards just strikes me as being too slick and not trustworthy. Kerry doesn't stop talking about Vietnam and everytime I hear the words "millworker" come out of Edwards' mouth I switch channels on the TV. Of course I would vote for my grandmother's warm phlegm before I would vote for Bush, but neither Kerry nor Edwards inspire me whatsoever. Like Kerry, Clark also had a silver star but he didn't rub it into my face. He almost never mentioned his wounds or his valor. He tried to discuss the issues and I liked what I heard. That's what I also liked about Dean and Kucinich. Thus, my support is still for Clark, after which I will probably go with Kerry, Edwards or even that bowl of phlegm, whichever one looks like it has the best chance to beat Enron George.

If you want the issues out there, take another look at Kucinich. Clark and Kucinich were so close on the issues it near killed me to hear him endorse Kerry.*sigh*
Keep the issues on the table and consider casting your vote for Kucinich. Please note I said consider. Your vote is yours to cast as you see fit, I only suggest that for the issues Clark promoted, at this point Kucinich is probably your best bet.

and I preferred to remain nuetral and uncommitted, but I guess I have decided that I prefer Kerry, for a variety of reasons.
At least this time I can watch things without much emotional involvement, which is nice.
We don't caucus in our state until April, so my vote probably won't matter anyway. If it does, than I will caucus for Kerry. If Kerry pretty much has it wrapped up, I will try to caucus for Kucinich.
It sucks that the repukes took away our primary, so I really don't get a vote, if I did, I would go ahead and vote for Clark unless Kerry was in trouble.

43. Clark. Why change now? |
|
I will vote for the democratic nominee in November, no matter who it is. Until then I'm only going to be involved in opposing Bush, not in supporting candidates I wasn't able to support even before Clark got into the race.
Clark is supporting Kerry and advised his supporters that they should follow their own consciences as to what they should do.
So me? I figure I don't have a dog in this fight. Let Kerry and Edwards duke it out. Whoever wins will get donations from me, etc., etc. but I will not be handing out literature or canvassing or any of that stuff.
I have serious doubts that any of the current candidates can beat Bush in November UNLESS he so totally fucks up that even the "deaf, dumb and blind kid" will catch on and vote him out.
Until then, its "don't trust leaders and watch the parking meters."

I think I like Edwards more as a person, but he would be a disaster in terms of foreign policy, even if he won. He still supports the Iraq War, doesn't campaign on foreign policy at all. It would be a 1-term deal, if any significant foreign crisis happened. Plus Edwards' stand on gays is not good, and his views on trade all over the place. And it doesn't hurt that Clark's clearly in Kerry's good books now...

And wish I could do it again in November.
Since that is unlikely to be an option, if the election in my state is close and I must vote for the presidential candidate, then whoever is on the ballot with a "D."
Why would anyone who supported Clark voting for someone who thought that a war was a good idea? It is the worst foreign policy decision this country ever made. Ever. Did you hear that Hugh Shelton, you sorry sack of shit?
Edwards? I remember clearly that Dean's supporters felt Wesley Clark had no experience in domestic politics, and now Trippi believes that 2 years in the Senate voting to support NCLB, the Patriot Act, and IWR, makes Edwards a domestic guru. I don't think so. But then, I'm just one of those NEA members.
