Poll question: How do you feel about Kerry's voting record?
Do you, as a primary voter, find yourself generally in agreement or disagreement with Senator Kerry's voting record?

1. General agreement. A few real bad votes are there, balanced by good ones

His leadership in low-emission vehicles, Kyoto, and his courageous stand against DOMA and attempts to cut the defense budget are all thumbs-up for me.

2. I Disagreed With His IWR Vote
But despite that, I still believe he is a major force for the progressive movement. Public Citizen and LCV back me up on that.

3. its amazing
how 4 or 5 votes can erase 1000 good ones.
The worst part about his record is the votes he has MISSED.

6. overall I am happy with him
I don't plan on seeing anyone as liberal as me running nationally this year. Kerry is far better than Clinton or Gore though. He is in favor of Clinton style taxation which was good for the country, he opposes the detah penalty (except for terrorists now) which he had to do or he would lose for sure, He has a perfect environmental record and LCV raves over him, he broke the south american wars of the 80s, Public Citizen has a lot of praise for him, he has been a leader in gay rights and balanced budgets. I like him.

19. Your Friend Would Be Entering Basic Training No Matter What
and I will interject, those voting for Edwards are voting for someone who is very likely going to ensure many MORE will be entering basic training.

8. Well there wouldn't be a focus if you were considering his career.
There is no focus, each DUer can decide if one vote negates the other's or not.

12. Whoa there cowboy.
A lot of people have been breaking off and simply focusing on his recent votes. I just wanted it clarified. Relax.

9. Would have been tickled to death to vote for the "old Kerry."
Rotten taste in my mouth for the last three years' votes.

Can we get the "old Kerry" back? The one who didn't believe Republican lies or swing in the wind?

13. Where's the rest of it? IWR, Patriot, etc.....
Funny how important votes like that wouldn't be listed.

Also, note some of the votes Kerry missed.... the rape of medicare.... just about anything related to regulating the energy industry... the first tax cut for the rich vote.....

Why's that Kerry? afraid to take a stand? You think his green checkmarks would have matched Teddy's if he had bothered to vote?

14. I'm bothered by it.
He voted for the Patrio Act. That's the main thing that bothers me. By voting for it, he says it's ok for the government to take away MY rights as an individual.

That's bothers me a lot.

15. I really don't know. I really can't tell what he really stands for at all.
He is the king of nuances.

If he is the nominee I'll vote for him in November but I'll be damned if I can honestly say I know where he stands on anything.

Not that it matters. I'd vote for a dean man before I'd vote for Bush.
