Edwards lost because the fervor for Obama overwhelmed everything else in Iowa. In fact, since turnout was almost 100,000 greater than the Edwards campaign had anticipated, it says something that he still managed to run even with the Clinton machine."

when your top three candidates are all fantastic, and you've got a bench that's as good as any. It's a surplus of goodies and I hope it doesn't distract us from the necessity of winning the White House in the fall.
